Man Stabbed on a City Bus in Gang Related Attack

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — A man was slashed across his face during a verbal argument aboard a local city bus, and the attack is suspected of being gang related.

The incident took place at around 5:15pm aboard the B46 Limited bus while traveling on Utica Avenue at the intersection of East New York Avenue.

The victim, a black male in his twenties, was accosted by an attacker around the same age and the two got into a verbal argument, the attacker said he was a member of bloods, a violent street gang, pulled out a razor blade and slashed the victim across the face.

EMS transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where was listed in stable condition and was being treated for his injuries.

Police are investigating the incident.
