    BLOOMBERG!!!!!

    – why do we take this? this is a new phenomenon that has continued to increase since Giuliani left and Bloomberg came in. When you put all the focus of your forces on writing tickets and closing off streets something will suffer and I see the rising frequency of crimes as a direct result. It cost the city money to keep these hooligans off the street and I can see why the mayer would not want to part with that money. That sends a message to the offenders and their buddies that you can get away with crime.

    Let’s get Bloomberg out now!

  • tg for troise

well tg sgt troise foiled an imminent attack on bais benyomin! this pales in comparison!

  • Sgt Robert Troise

why are you and the New York post are scaring crown heights residents. the NYPD is very busy now to tiket cars and trucks in crwon heights. please dont bother the NYPD with real crime.

  • hashem yerachem!

    to #5:
    anti semitism is anti ssemitism
and if you fail to see the seriousness of this
look back at history, this is how problems start

  • Boruch

Obvious answer. Writing tickets of course.

By the way, you know you’re in a statist country when you fear police cars riding behind yours’. Police are supposed to make you feel safe, but they instill fear in NYC.

  • hgy

we have to form our own militia. when this happens we need to form a group to find thses guys in bed stuy. or wherever and make a citizens arrest vda”l…like good old days. or we can reemploy the red devil. ch was safer then.

  • worried mom

as terrible as this crime is,we all have to exercise common sense.no one should walk anywhere alone in any big city at 1:00 AM. even though the tishrai atmopshere in CH is 24/7,the criminals don’t know that.

  • Oif der nayeh yor!

ok,, guys calm down,, according to Simonetti, and Sperlin, this was not a hate crime, it is what normal people do all the time,, why are we blaming our cops?? They did nothing wrong. Bloomberg is incredible, and this is just an everyday occurance.. Hashem,, take us out of this golus NOW!

  • anybody

Here’s another reason to hire some jews !
We can make a mini militia protecting ??????
yes i suggest sharing some money with the locals

  • simcha

there is a new tear gas gun from mace that is awesome. it shoot a stream 25 feet. you can get them on ebay for around 35 dollars. type mace gun on ebay search box

  • my thoughts?

number one why does everyone always jump down the police’s throats for not being in exactly the right place at the right time?? We should have police patroling every inch of CH at all hours? So you have a cop on carrol and kingston and a cop on crown and Albany. how exactly are they supposed to prevent this from happening? Crime happens. Its called big city life. You dont like it? get out. Go live in a smaller safer town.

Dont walk around at 1 AM. You cant live in a bubble hoping police will protect you, then do whatever you want, not exercising caution and then complain the police didnt save you. Brains people- brains. Though that comment is NOT targeted at this particular victim as he is Israeli and prob doesnt know the “rules” here.

lastly I doubt this guy is returning to CH any time soon. I hope he is alright and not traumatized for life.

  • Dear # 16

We jump down the cops’ throats because they are nowhere to be seen. Hardly any were out over Yom Tov…I didn’t see ANY on Kingston over YK.

As #6, “Bobby Troise”, wrote, the big crime in Crown Heights is forgetting you only have 20 mins for a quarter in the meter.

As for having a militia…Shomrim is always available to respond, but as far as I know they don’t have the manpower to proactively patrol everywhere, all night & all day. Maybe some normal, like-minded yungermen & bochurim can contact Shomrim about making a serious, 24-hour patrol. Things will only get worse & we just can’t rely on the police. They don’t care, we don’t count.

  • masada2000.org

I agree with #12 if we cant rely on the police all the time let us defend ourselves.
mace is sold in sunshine pharmacy in ch corner of kinston and
    montgomery for 20$

  • to 15

yeah those guns are so awesome i used one that i found for abt 40 bucks on the guy who tried to take my 450$ esrog he never tried to take my esrog again

  • To 16

Since you didn’t get what I said the first time I’ll repeat it especially for you.

I can’t speak for “everyone” and I don’t expect police to be everywhere at all times.

I do expect that criminals not get away with the petty crimes as easily as they do now because that is what is leading them to commit more serious crimes.

And you missed my main point that all I’m asking is for things to be “the way they were” with Giuliani, which means I talking about something than CAN be done if the mayer has is priorities straight.

People should be able to walk every where at any given time the only party that should be blamed is the low life bahimas that did this.

  • Mennzz

Has anyone on this post ever thought of owning a gun? How about if it wasn’t just a punch in the jaw. How about if it was a gun to his head, or a gun to YOUR head, for whatever reason.

To 16: Why does anyone have to be time restricted when they go outside? Why not just own a gun, like the Torah says, “If somebody comes to kill you, kill him first” and be free!

One thing I’v done is got a license for a firearm to protect myself and my family from anyone who deals with life like a computer game. (But, if you wanna get a firearm, your better be SANE and value LIFE more than stupidity…)

Hope he is o.k. and recovers like it never happen.

  • Safer Side of Eastern Parkway

That’s what happens when Jews live on the Southern side of Eastern Parkway. Here on the Northern side it’s much safer.

  • Mordechai

Is this a photo of the incident? The victim is on the ground in the photo. I think you are using a file photo and should indicate that this was not an actual accurate visualization.

    BS”D

why does it bother you so much
so much that it deserves a comment?
this is a good venting space isn’t it?
we would rather it be a space for ppl to express their thought out opinions.

  • SIMPLE SOLUTION.....

    M*A*C*E*!!!

It’s a little can, and it works wonders!

Even better – EASY OFF OVEN CLEANER OR WASP & HORNET SPRAY
    Benefits:
    It’s legal
    can blind vision (IY“H permanently)
If SPRAYED into open mouth – can be lethal (IY”H)

These are black animals – and they should be dealt with LIKE animals.
    These are NOT human beings.
    Kill/mame first, ask questions later.

  • rumsfield

this has nothing to with sides of eastern parkway u live on, it has to do with people standing up, ever notice why people like yossi popack and others so called leaders in the community never speak up when it comes to corwn in crown heights? because they are feeding it!

  • to num 18 and 20 and 26

to 18 , funny. Since I’ve moved to CH I’ve seen more police in one week then I have seen in my entire life since living out of town. Seriously, I feel like NY’ers have such a demanding entitled attitude. They expect the world to serve them. There are police everywhere! Maybe move to a small place and you’ll see the distinct lack of them, to realize what you DO have.

number 20 youre the moron for having such an attitude in life.
and to num 26 or 1, fine I can agree on that. They shouldnt be allowed to get away with petty crime. But for police expected to be everywhere at the right time? Its nearly impossible.

  • The Guy With the Dog

The problem is that the cops stay near the crowded areas (Kingston, etc.) where very little violent crime occurs. They need to be in the more deserted areas.

  • To #1

BLOOMBERG is just intrested in publicity and votes like most other politicians.
He won elections in 2002 largely because of his GULIANI safety policies after the 92 riots.
Now he wants to sound like a nice good old man who allowes everyone to do everything (so he could run for a national office).
I’m still happy that I voted for him because he is much better than tompson and his gang who are ONLY intrested in crime freedom and welfare related funds.

  • awacs

#28: “One thing I’v done is got a license for a firearm to protect myself and my family from anyone who deals with life like a computer game.”

And, how does that help you in the street? You didn’t get a NYC carry license, right?

  • Why do cops stand like dummies?

Cops should not stand like dummies on the corners. They should walk around the block, patrolling, looking around, doing something.
