CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Four cars were broken into and airbags were stolen Thursday night. The cars were all parked on President Street in the vicinity of the Albany Avenue intersection.

Rough estimates list the damage at over $2000 dollars.

In the past Crown Heights has been the target of over 40 such robberies, causing serious inconvenience to motorists parking their cars in the neighborhood. Police never caught the thieves, and could not explain why the thefts stopped for a number of months.

The cars targeted in this batch of thefts were all late model Nissans and Fords.

One motorist, who asked not to be named, said that this was the second time his car was targeted and aside from the damage and the insurance deductible he had to pay, loosing his car for a few days and not being able to go to work caused him even more loss.

NYPD crime statistics show a significant rise in burglaries, robberies and auto robberies, specifically a %8.1 rise burglaries, a %4.7 rise in grand larcenies, and a %21.1 rise in grand larceny auto.

We need cameras up on the streets
This will also help prevent the past blood liables that Jews attack blacks

to the first two comments, you both sound like bafoons!

cameras are only good once a crime happens, how about getting cops to protect what matters? they have that whole fance command center thing near 770, which im sure is important, but how about have the officers in there go for a walk every half hour and proactivly stop crime?

how about police work with shomrim to stop crime? rather then let the criminals they catch go?

Did the cars have the Club? Is there any indication that the Club prevents such theft?

i have a lock called “The CLUB Quad Lock” that gets wider near the air bag so it would be very hard to get around, and i park in really bad spots every night and i have a nissan, and i never got my air bag messed with. so u guys should look into it ( and please dont get all “crown hightzer” on me and yell at me that the police should do their jobs and its not our problem…… bla bla bla…… cause i agree im just saying i like my air bag )
