Approximately 2 hours before Shabbos Shomrim received a call for a shoplifter in the Kingston Bargain Center. The incident began at 6:10pm when one of the workers at the store noticed the perp walking down one of the isles and putting things in his bag, and then tried to exit the store, he blocked the entrance and the owner called police and Shomrim.

Shomrim members arrived a mere minute after receiving the call, and one of the members identified him at the perp in a Previous Shoplifting this past January. Police arrived 2 minutes after Shomrim and questioned the employee then the owner, and after reviewing surveillance footage where he was clearly seen lifting various items police arrested him.

We would like to warn all residents of the community that during the summer many of us go upstate and crime goes up, please be careful and sensible, if you see something make sure to call 911 and Shomrim at (718) 774-3333 24/7.

  • dont leave flyers on door stoops

Pleasae tell all poster hangers and men who distribure flyers to peoples home. to please put it ion the mail box and not to leave it on door handles or ther stoopsd, this way the goyim, shoplifters wont know if people are home r not.
When there is a bunch of paper laying on ones door or porch its a sign that peiople are away and its a invite to break intop the house.
Thanks for bringing this to the attention of everyone especially to those that hand out the flyers.

Can’t blame the guy, the Kingston shopping is great! I suggest an advertising campaign with the sticky finger man kvelling about the reasonable prices and fine selection of merchandise. Perhaps more Bed-Sty customers will come to shop. Better go get a catch of fish Raskin, and stomp more grapes Eber. Business is gonna boom!

To Brian: What does it have to do with him looking nice? You can be looking great, and robbing people blind.

  • CHer

when he breaks in to a house at 3 am, i wonder if "looking nice" will be much of a help then.

  • Itzik_s

He looks nice? LOL! He looks like a case of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome or drug use during pregnancy.

Animals belong in cages – but something tells me this one will get a slap on the wrist.

  • hurt but you don-t care

"Don’t leave flyers on doorsteps so goyim won’t know if people aren’t home"????? Boy, I am so thankful Jewish people are not BIGGOTS!!!!!!!! I mean, after how they have been persecuted, they above all should know better, right? Of course, this post will never see the light of day because I am just an EVIL, HORRID GOY!!!!!!!!! I read this sight to educate myself about other cultures. Wish you all would do the same.

Dear Hurt: I’m sorry to say, but thats the way it works here in crown heights. nothing personal

having old newspapers and flyers pile up in front of a home is an OLD-TIME indication of no one being home. That includes all lights being off all the time, inside and out.
Speak with some neighbors and friends who are in town for the summer and ask them to pick up the papers every few days. And put some of your house lights on timers.
Take some action instead of pointing the finger and blaming others.

HAVE NO FEAR, HE’LL BE OUT OF JAIL IN TWO WEEKS!
I PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE FLAG OF THE UNITED STATES, AND TO THE REPUBLIC FOR WHICH IT STANDS. ONE NATION, UNDER G-D, INDIVISIBLE, WITH LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR SOME (NOT THE STORE OWNERS)
TELL THE COLD HEART WHO SAID "HE LOOKS SO NICE" THAT IF HE STOLE A LOT FROM U YOU WOULD PROBABLY WANT TO KILL HIM – SO HOW ABOUT YOUR FELLOW JEW? WHERE’S THE ‘YIRAT’, OR ‘AHAVAT’, HASHEM IN CROWN HEIGHTS? WE SET THE EXAMPLE FOR THE WHOLE WORLD!

i dont know why "hurt" is so offended. i mean, i never saw a jewish guy breaking in to a "GOY’S" house before. this is the fact: when they know that nobody is home- THEY WIILL BREAK IN!!!!!

  • Itzik_s

Hurt is clearly a troll. Then again everyone knows that we Lubavitchers are the ones who rob houses, mug people, steal cars, snatch purses and Ipods etc.

to Don’t Leave Flyers: I would be careful to use the term schvartz yohr instead of goyim next time.

  • victim of crimes

These lowlifes break in when there are people at home, too.

Is everyone really so naive?? THIS IS AN INNER-CITY DUMP, PEOPLE!! Get real…we probably have more crime here than anywhere else in Brooklyn (except our neighbors, Bed-Sty).

So…we’re waiting to hear from you, oh adored CHJCC.

    WHATTYA DOIN’ ABOUT IT??

  • comunnity

we may be victims to all crime but do you really beleive the grass is greener on the oyher side?

  • greener

i’m sorry to say but the grass is greener on the othr side – at least out of brooklyn
