Officers at the scene of the shooting yesterday.

Crown Heights was on edge Wednesday night after a group of teens were left bloodied by gunfire. Police believe the shooter took aim from a rooftop above the victims.

Residents have seen their fare share of shootings before, but this particular scenario and setting the element of concern was higher than usual.

Police were keeping a heavy presence near the rooftop perch where they believe a gunman shot at teens down below, a crime of opportunity that has Crown Heights residents very nervous.

“Frightening, frightening. In a nutshell, frighten,” one woman said.

“I could have been walking by and gotten caught in the crossfire,” resident Nick Webb said.

Earlier Wednesday, police were on the rooftop looking for any evidence left behind after the gunshots shots pierced a dry cleaning window, shattered a car window, and struck at least four teens.

“It was like eight gunshots. It just kept going,” witness Isatu Turay said.

“Everybody was just coming from school, coming from wherever and shots rang out from the roof,” Patrick Abraham said.

Abraham was walking just a few feet behind the teens and said he heard only one gun being fired from the rooftop.

“When the first one went off, everybody was screaming, and instead of hitting the floor, everybody was running,” Abraham said.

Two wounded teens found shelter in an accounting office where late Wednesday their blood was being washed away.

“They just come in, crying, shouting,” witness John Sesay said. “It was shocking to be honest with you.”

Not shocked was one resident whose car window now needs to be replaced.

“It’s Brooklyn, you know, so that’s what you expect, you know sometimes, when you’re living in this kind of neighborhood,” Jonathan Frank.

Abraham never expected this when he walked to his accountant’s office, but he fully appreciates his good fortune.

“I believe in God much more now (laughs). I tell you no lie, that’s how close I was,” Abraham said.

Police said the wounded teens will be fine and that they were gang members. Police are now trying to figure out if they were intended targets.

according to reputable sources it happened because of words and volume
so they pissed someone off to many times
freedom of speech doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want without getting shot at
so dont be to stoopid to loud out there
because if your making a paycheck there will be a n insurance policy and if you arent making a paycheck
mark my words it will happen again if there are to many people without enough to do
