Jewish Woman Stalked on her way Home

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Jewish woman who was on her way home this evening was stalked by a young punk who followed her on a bike, and at one point circled her a number times and taunted her.

The incident took place earlier tonight, Thursday, at around 5:45pm on President Street near Brooklyn Avenue, the suspects was described as a Black teen riding a white bicycle. The woman spotted a Bochur walking and ran to him for help, who in turn called Shomrim.

A quick call to 911 alerted cops who are posted all over the streets, and in turn managed to stop the suspect on the corner of Carroll Street and Kingston Avenue. Shomrim volunteers brought the woman over to Kingston where she positively identified the suspect, only according to her account she told police of what happened they determined the suspect did not commit a crime.

Police took his information and let him go.

    There have been other recent cases also near Brooklyn Avenue where women were threatened and identifying the culprits to the police not only did not help but made the experience worse..

    to these black punks………they should do something productive for their black brothers and sisters in Haiti;
    G-d only knows that they are needed. They should take that misguided energy and anger and help someone. Rather than destroy, contruct and rebuild. In that way their poor self esteem just may get a chance to develop and grow. Maybe they will begin to realize that hurting helpless victims is unacceptable. Actually I think Bloomberg should arrange for these destructive aimless perps to go to Haiti and put them to work; it will probably be the best rehab program that they will ever get.

    The suspect was from Haiti. His mother lost her shoes in the catastrophe. He was out looking for some new ones for her and was circling the woman in order to get an idea of size and determine if he should take them to send. He ignored one detail that his Mamma told him: she lost her legs together with the shoes.

    This is why you should carry PEPPER SPRAY. Unless someone actually does physical harm to you and/or is carrying a weapon, nothing will be done.

    these police need some social workers to teach them some cultural information on how to deal with this community. They are afraid because they don’t understand how to deal with this. That doesnt mean that its impossible. Why doesnt someone with a brain and a heart go and figure out what to do, its not rocket science. How can anyone let a community go like this

    When people are accosted/terrified they lose their tongue. Criminals know this. This is your biggest weapon. Use it! Train your kids too, also. I heard that a “punk” tried to rip off Rebbetzin Chatya Mushka’s purse and she screamed so loud until bochurim came running out of 770! Train yourself like a fire drill to scream when being attacked, train your kids too! I read once in the in Reader’s Digest how a man stuck a pointed a gun to a woman’s back, told her to go with him to an ATM machine several blocks away and withdraw all her money. He then led her to an alley and murdered her. The point was that there were dozens of people on the way that could’ve saved her!

    it is not because the police are afraid to do something,acording to the LAW he did not do any vilence.
    but also it is very stupit that when this happens and the police is on the streets they are talking laghing,
    i do not call this police they have a police tank in front of uly on estern parkway and the only thing they do is look on there computer screen or they are talking.
    come on tell me the truth to leave on the moter and to put on the lights to show that they are there what the hell..
    i do not get we get so much idea’s from whillemberg and boro park. like hatzla and shomrim ect. why can we can not ask them or ask them for advise for our shomrim to know what to do. the only reason they are able to do what they do is because they show the police that they do not need them and look they are doing great!!

    there is no point of the police here in new york. In the city where there is a great need for them to do something about all the crimes they just sit back and relax AND DO ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!

    I work in the criminal justice system. In fact, I work in riker’s island. I see people everyday that do very similar crimes and receive:

    1) Harassment
    2) Menacing

    At the very least. Threatening someone like that IS a crime. The fact that they let them go just goes to show that the cops don’t care about the Jews in our neighborhood.

    I just can’t wait for someone to start w/ me.
