Bochur Arrested Erev Yom Tov

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A Bochur was arrested just moments before Sukkos began Friday evening. The arrest took place following an accident he was involved in along with a friend, he was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and possession of illegal cigarettes.

According to eye witnesses at the scene two cars, a white Nissan and a black Chevy, both driven by Israeli Bochurim were seen drag racing down the narrow Lincoln Place when the Nissan lost control and slammed in to a parked car at the intersection of Brooklyn Avenue.

The force of the impact sent the parked car into the middle of the intersection, and the driver sustained significant injuries. Hatzalah responded and transported the victim to Kings County Hospital where he was admitted and recived further treatment.

Back at the scene the driver of the Chevy was seen by the large crowd the formed removed two large bags from the Nissan then leaving the scene, only to return a short while later and police arrested him. Police found over 60 sealed cartons of imported duty-free cigarettes in the car.

Sources in the police department told us that the Bochur was issued a Desk Appearance Ticket and released later that night.

Wow, what a Kiddush Hashem. Remind me again – why do the Israelis come again? Oh yes, for Tishrei with the Rebbe.

    Sick.
Not fair that we all suffer cuz of them.
Sorry about my lack of Ahavas Yisroel, but I don’t think this is what the Rebbe wanted either.

  • a-veera d-Eretz Yisroel machkim...

Some of the Israeli bochurim are rude and arrogant to the neighborhood blacks, as well as to the police.  They go home after Tishrei, and we remain here with the “good will” they leave behind…  Who knows what “payros” their “good will” may bring, R”L?!

  • Why think???????//

Some israelis are nice. Dont automaticly think every one from israel who comes is “bad”. New yorkers might seem “bad” to israelis.

Have you seen yarmulkes yechi at their heads ??
Are they talibans from tsfat ??

  • they just don-t care!

notice the skid marks in the picture.
these Israelis think they can do whatever they want

Why stigmatize Israeli people? Try living there! You’ll see that it’s just like that it’s different over there, and it’s no good to slam then for where they came from. As the saying goes, “kacha!”

they come here smuggling illegal cigarettes then we pay for them and kill ourselves i’m amazed at their respect for us

  • Worried

This only brings us troubles. After seeing two large groups of Israelis – a group of boys and a group of girls (respectively)- hold the subway doors and annoy all the passengers, I overheard a conversation between two CH neighbors, one shvartz and the other white (the Park Slope-moved-in-to-CH-type). They were discussing how the bochurim keep the dorm a mess on Eastern Parkway, as well as on President Street, and how they will call the city to complain. (This was in addition to the loud grumbles of the shvartzes “that they” – i.e. Jewish kids- “have no respect”). Despite the fact that the Public School kids spew filth in our ears each day on the train, and have absolutely ZERO respect, apparently we are held to a different standard. Let us not give them any incentives to start up, never mind the chilul Hashem involved. We have enough to deal with in this neighborhood.

  • Remenber when?

This reminds me of when Cuba released all their mental patients and prisoners to come to the US only now the Israeli’s come.

  • is this fair?

let me understand this. all of crown heights can share tishrei in 770 with the rebbe yet we will bloke out the israelis? these people have more miseras nefesh then we can imagine.

  • LawAndOrder

They should have been kept in jail over the entire chag and then deported with black marks put on their passports. How nice of them to come here to drag race and endanger innocent lives!

  • me

to is this fair, mesiras nefesh?! Most of them come to New York to go shopping in Manhattan. Not to be in crown heights!

  • space in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

while all of you guys making fun of him saying bad things about him, you guys are doing a bigger sin by embarassing someone.

Did you all ever hear of “Hevei dan eis kol haadam Lekaf Z’chus?” If you think you are all better than them, if you can’t understand them and most of all: If you have nothing nice to say , then DON”T SAY ANYTHING!!
It is a big Chillul Hashem so let’s try to keep it low and not make a bigger one by bad mouthing them more and puting everything in the same pot!
We should hear only good news!
    Chag Sameach to you all!
