Bochur Assaulted, Nabs His Assailant – Gang Related
At the beginning of last week a Bochur who was on his way home from an evening walk in Prospect Park was assaulted in front of the Brooklyn Public Library by a group of black youths. The incident took place at around 8:15pm, the animals were standing in a group on the sidewalk in front of the temporary side entrance. As the Bochur passed he heard the group yelling some racial slurs at him and started to run after him and then struck in the back of his head.
The Bochur, who had just read the story here on CrownHeights.info about the Bochur who was struck and injured on President and Kingston, wouldn’t let the animal get away with it, so he turned around and went after him. After a short pursuit the Bochur managed to grab him, at which point the group surrounded the Bochur who was holding the one that hit him and attempted to rob him , enabling the assailant to break free. The Bochur just ran off after him again leaving the large group who themselves ran away seeing passersby’s pulling out their cell phones and dialing 911.
Once again the Bochur managed to apprehend the animal and that’s where it ended. The most interesting thing about this incident is that for over 15 minutes during which time the scene was unfolding the people passing just ignored what was going on, very few people even bothered to call 911.
When the police finally did show up, it wasn’t the officers who were dispatched through the 911 which arrived, it was officers from the 32nd Transit Division who just happened to be passing by , and had seen the Bochur restrain his assailant, who they then arrested.
The 32nd Transit Division’s job is to patrol the subway and provide security to busses as well as other mass transportation options. I would say thank G-D they are the ones that stopped to help, since they immediately began investigating this as a hate crime and as a robbery. Within 1 hour of the apprehension the detective squad at the 32nd TD had gotten the names of all the others that were involved, and had determined that this assailant was 15 years old, has no parents, and was previously arrested twice, once for assault, and the other for robbery,.
During the investigation the investigators learned that he was a member of the gang known as the “Crips” and he had assaulted the Bochur as part of an “initiation” into the gang. Police then put him in lockup pending his guardian to come and release him on bail, however CH.info has learned that his guardian did not want to release him, so he remained in lockup until his court date.
CH.info has further learned that 2 detectives from the Mayors office’s Hate and Crime Task Force came down to the 32nd TD’s station house to take a statement from the Bochur and 2 detectives from 1st Police Plaza’s Gang Task Force came down as well.
This assault is especially worrisome since the city is investigating this assault as well as the one from Motzoai Shabbos as gang related.

but just notice.. that just like animals.. like a dog etc.. when they sense that you are not afraid (as they did when the bochur started running toward them) they get scared and run away…. reall like animals!

Calling this lowlife an animal is an affront to behemas everywhere. Animals kill and attack only for food; these misbegotten creatures of our welfare state attack for sport and are lower than any animal including the rat.
He ought to be fed to one of the predatory animals at Prospect Park Zoo, but that would be cruelty to animals.

that same night i had a story of my own. where a "shiktze" tried to steal a parking space from me after waiting 40 minutes for it. with the help of some bochurim and members of shomrim we blocked her car and reangled mine till it was 3 feet from the sidewalk, than we all went to the back of my car where we lifted it the other 3 feet, and told the chalerah g’night.

Hi, while I am proud of the bohur for fighting but want to agree with the person who reminded that using the word animal to describe any person is chllul hashem…and I further wonder whether this type of way to view those other than ourselves does not add fuel to such crimes…and also, damages our role in being light among the nations and in bringing tikun olam…
