CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Last night Union Street was hit very hard, six cars were broken into and their air bags were stolen, and the damage is estimated to be over six thousand dollars.

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Last night Union Street was hit very hard, six cars were broken into and their air bags were stolen, and the damage is estimated to be over six thousand dollars.

All the cars were parked on Union Street between New York Avenue and Kingston Avenue.

This is the latest in a rash of break-ins in Crown Heights, and has residents scratching their heads and wondering when it will end. Typically the cars that are targeted by the thieves are Hondas and Nissans, but in the last few days expanded and now include late model Fords as well.

    The problem is that your are leaving your cars in the wrong places
    if you want your car to be watched you need to leave it on the corner of Flatbush and empire by Dunkin doughnuts there is always a police van their and usually a cop car pulling over people from the 71 across the street.
    Near us the are only good for giving out tickets to people

    Why march on the police?? When was the last time you saw a cop breaking into someone’s care??
    We need a march on our black neighbors; a major protest against the African American community, demanding that THEY come up with effective ways to stop their members from mugging, stealing, etc. etc., that THEY educate their youth with some sort of morals that apparently prevent our youth from doing the same as theirs. Is never a cop, a Jew, or even a white guy – its ALWAYS an African American and its been that way ever since they took over these neighborhoods.
    Now, that’s a march that’ll get in every newscast and paper, that’ll make headlines alright!
    Protesting to the police is evading the problem and has always proven futile. More guts is called for.

    Good advice, they say against this kind of robberies, to put on steering wheels those special locks (I think they called “clubs”).

    I heard that when thieves see them, they avoid this cars and looking for more easier targets.

    Frankly in Crown Heights, you will not find too many drivers using this devises.

    I think that if you have Honda’s and Nissan (and even Fords) you better run to get them, you can save so much money.

    For crying out loud, its always lets blame the police, its always the cops fault. You think cars are broken into only in crown heights? In marine park, in sheepshead bay, cars are broken into every single night, how about getting police posts to those areas? You have over a 100 cops walking around in crown heights and you still cry likes babies, ungrateful neighborhood, how about getting cops to other areas? How about borough park? How about coney island? where poor old senior citizens are afraid to get out of their houses

    We need to END WELFARE People. You do know that you reduce taxes that way and it puts money back into the economy so low lives like these will actually have some sort of job instead of stealing for a living. Also, its make the Government these peoples fathers being the girls usually just get knocked up and get a check every month. No Morals is the outcome of a society that rewards failure. You think these people learn anything? Who’s there to teach them? Put these people to work and they will learn the value of hardwork. Stop giving out handouts. Legalize Drugs. Wait Drugs are bad? Says who? Why do you think people are stealing? To buy a loaf of bread? Get real. They are buying boos and drugs. Legal or not they will still get it. Legalize it all and the Government will tax it and then make a lot of money that could be put to good use. Such as Sending to Israel to Blow the BeJeebis out of Iran!
