New Round of Car Break-ins

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Over Shabbos two cars were broken into and ransacked. The incidents took place on Carroll Street between Brooklyn and Albany Avenues, and according to the owners it could have happened from when they parked Erev Shabbos till they got to their cars next on Sunday.

In both incident bags were taken from the cars, one of them had clothing worth hundreds of dollars in it.

The style of the break-ins was similar to that of notorious auto burglar Terrance Nelson (43), but a call to the Brooklyn DA confirmed that he is still in the custody of the Department of Corrections, pending trial for his last arrest after he burglarized a number of cars.

Police reports have been filed in each of the incidents.

In case of an emergency never hesitate to call 911 and Shomrim at (718) 774-3333 24/7.

  • SHOCKED!!!

    I AM SHOCKED!!!

Cops were crawling all over CH on Shabbos giving tickets. And of course, they never noticed nuthin’, did they???

Who cares about all this crime,
the only thing we have to be focused on is…
    One patrol…one patrol…one patrol…

  • Just wondering

Why are there 4 cops on my corner, and no cops on the next two blocks?

  • Another way

I know someone that just leaves his car door open with a sign “DOORS OPEN” and leaves nothing of any value in the car.

He saves a lot of glass expense and cleanup.

  • wake up yidden!

now, we all know how “safe” crown heights is…so why does this real fancy person leave “hundreds of dollars worth of clothing” in her car calling for all these animals to just come get it! she should know better, as it says “don’t put a stumbling block in front of the blind”…don’t put expensive items in the view of those who are bound to come get them!
of course, the fact still remains…our police are non-active and quite prejudice!
