Woman Mugged in Broad Daylight on Montgomery

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Earlier this week a woman was mugged in broad daylight on a Crown Heights street. The incident took place at around 12:45pm Tuesday on Montgomery St, between Kingston Ave and Albany Ave, where a black man described to be around 30 years old hit a lady knocking her to the ground and stealing her purse.

Hatzalah, Shomrim, and Police responded to the scene and after obtaining a description of the man Police Officers and Shomrim members searched the area for the perpetrator, to no avail.

After treating the woman at the scene, Hatzalah released the woman with no need to transport her to the hospital B”H.

Inspector Peter Simoneti, the Commanding Officer of the 71st Precinct said “this definitely appears to be a crime of opportunity, the perp saw that there were no cops on the corner and just struck”, other residents at the scene just scratched their head, “midday, in the middle of Tishrei, how can this happen?” they asked.

    Can you imagine if the tables were turned and a black women would be mugged by a white man? You’d have Sharpton and his like, screeming and demonstrating and causing havok. Well in order to stop CRIME the Sharptons of the USA should be as outraged when anyone commites a crime regardles of their color.

    Shomrim members are regular working, family people from the community coming together to try and make a difference, there is no reason why the police department (which should have the same goal) would not want to work with them (or in essence us- the Jewish community).
