Suspected in a Gun-Run, Arrested for Dis-Con

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] – Late afternoon Wednesday, girls walking home from school and mothers watching their children play in the park witnessed how the intersection, of Lefferts and Albany Ave flooded with scores of police cars and vans, and subsequently the arrest of a Black teen. Then as quick as they swamped the intersection, they were gone, leaving everyone wondering what happened.

CrownHeights.info has learned that the suspect matched the description of a perp in an earlier incident involving a hand-gun, and when police tried to stop him for questioning he ‘mouthed off’ to cops and ran, after he was apprehend it was determined he wasn’t involved in the earlier incident with the gun, however he was still arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, a misdemeanor, and was later released.

    yes, “mouthing off” to cops or speaking to them in any way that is not deferential, can get you rough treatment, despite laws to the contrary.

    The District Attorney should apologize to the innocent guy and drop all charges. The cops went and bothered innocent person for the sole reason that he looked like someone else. Now they try to cover up their own blunder with charging an innocent person with disorderly conduct, whatever that means. Why shouldn’t he mouth off and run away. He hadn’t done anything wrong and the police were bothering him. He’s entitled to free speech and it’s not against the law to run in New York City.

    And to CN: if the guy was so innocent why’d he run? An innocent person who hasn’t done anything wrong would never run, merely cooperate and try to get the confusion of being mistaken for someone else cleared up.

    Even the police found he was innocent of any involvement in the gun matter. Read the article. When the police get the wrong guy they charge him with disorderly conduct. When the Jewish patrols get the wrong guy the police call it a bias crime.
