Minister Beaten with Hand-Gun during Robbery

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — A black minister on his way home on Balfour Place was attacked when a perpetrator confronted him at the corner of Lefferts Avenue and demanded his money while pointing a handgun at him.

The incident took place at around 12:15am, and the lone perp was described as a Black male. After demanding his money the minister refused, the perp began beating him with the pistol in the middle of which the gun discharged, but thankfully the bullet did not hit anyone.

Numerous police officers responded to the scene but didn’t manage to catch the perp. ESU and lots of detectives were on scene as well searching for evidence and the perp, who at this time has not been apprehended.

The minister was transported to a local hospital but did not sustain serious injuries.

    I wonder if Jesse Jackson, Rev. Sharpton, or even Rev Wright will bring a group of protesters and demand no justice… no peace? Amazing how silent the black community is when their own leaders is attacked by gun point by their own! Will there be more police in crown heights to protect the innoent, or to write tickets?

    I think I have made that point already a while ago when a Jewish kid was mugged (for his bike I think).

    I told you that it isn’t about you or me being Jewish but more about who has the money (so people shouldn’t scream anti-Semitic attack every time a kid gets mugged).

    In this case a minister probably dressed nicely on his way home was the target.

    This is supposed to be a Black AmericanCristian community of Haitains, Jamaicans, etc.
    Where’s the outrage? Where are the POWERFUL demonstrations to end illegal handgun use?
    Where is the LOVE?
    If this is the religion that preaches ”Love your neighbor as yourself,” it doesn’t seem like LOVE to me.
    So, when those missionaries come to your door tell them to ‘put up or shut up!’
