Nelson out for two Days, Re-Arrested

CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn [CHI] — Crown Heights’s most known and notorious car thief Terrance (Derrik) Nelson was arrested yesterday after he broke into a car and pulled out a knife on the owner.

The car was parked in an alleyway near Kingston and Montgomery and mid-afternoon the owner walked out to his car he spotted Nelson inside. The owner of the car, a Bochur, didn’t hesitate and began chasing him while calling Shomrim and 911. The Bochur managed to apprehend him at the entrance to the alleyway.

In an escalation for Nelson he pulled out a knife and threatened the Bochur to stay away, but police had arrived and arrested him.

This time Nelson was charged with weapons possession in addition to the Auto Larceny.

    Isn’t there a TEN strikes law in NY? The guy can’t take care of himself on the outside and just does whatever he can to land in the can again and again. He just costs the taxpayer extra money and uses police resources every 90 days or so.

    Oops – weapons possession might get him 120 or 180 days this time.

    Who will make sure that this crime puts him away for years! How many lives does this sub-human particle (Drek) have to hurt and threaten, before the courts keep him for years!

    When are the police going to learn that Nelson just doesn’t belong in society? How many more times are they going to arrest him, lock him up in jail, and let him out again? He could probably go in the Guinness Book of World Records for getting arrested the most times! But seriously, why doesn’t anyone take the hint and lock him up forever? He seems to be getting more and more dangerous each time.

    Everyone shoul contact our officials and complain. you can do this on line just google the mayor’s office, senator’s offices, DA etc. It takes only a few minutes.

    Maybe if prisons weren’t filled with people who were arrested on drug charges, the vast majority of whom were arrested only for possession, then there’d be room for dangerous people like Nelson.

    so one day in the future, people will look at all these police records, and we know what they will see….corruption, apathy, and alot of inept-ness.
    This guy is NOT stupid as “buzzer” commented. He obviously came from a very disturbed childhood, and therefore, the police are making TWO mistakes…..not making sure that the community is safe, and not making sure that people like this are taken care of….including psychiatric meds, psycho-therapy, and being locked up till he is rehabilitated….IF he can be rehab’ed. IF not, then he needs to stay in….lets watch and see what the system does now.
