They will probably be let out to their parents because they are only minors!?!?!

  • here we go

great. Now they bring him in, he promises that he didn’t do it because alon was jewish, they give him a slap on the wrist, a lolly pop, and send him home.

    Great news!!
This shows us when the community unites and applies the appropriate pressure, The Police can and will work to solve the crime.

  • PARENT IN CH

LET’S TAKE THIS OPPORTUNITY AND FIGHT FOR A GRAND JURY! WE WILL NOT TOLERATE OUR CHILDREN BEING BEATEN AND HARASSED! E-MAIL HYNES AND DEMAND A GRAND JURY AND HAVE THESE THUGS TRIED AS ADULTS!!!

  • Thanks for the good news!

    …That they were caught!
…That it is not a hate crime!

Although I can’t say I feel safe, I feel better knowing that he was not targeted as a Yid.

  • Now What!?

Just curious do you think they knew this information and where holding it till the Press confrence??

  • CH Resident

I assume “crime of opportunity” and “do not live in the confines of the 71st Precinct” are the NYPD’s way of saying “its not a bias crime and these youths weren’t from CH, so CH doesn’t have a problem”

    thats great news.
    But i was thinking.
based on that video from 1964.
we cant rely on the massive police depolyment in CH, everyone knows it wont last.

What we need is to beef up our shomrim patrols and have older bochurim and yunger lite visibly patrol the streets in weekly / daily shifts and make the people of CH feel there is a patrol.
My wife for one would realy appreciate this.

patrols in cars, patrols on foot, we can use either radio or cell phones to call police and for shomrim.

I would definatly wont to volenteer in this project.

    we will all benefit.

in addition i have seen places in brooklyn where police have visibly put up video cameras to look for criminals.
if the criminals see all of the above they will go elsewhere to commit there crimes.

Let us say Thank You to the 71st Precint.

Time to gove appreciation when it is due, besides for when we have justified complaints.

See what a little pressure (and achdus) can accomplish. I just hope they prosecute these two perps to the FULL extend of the law.

BTW, did you see what Dopey Chanina said in the Sun article. (see below)

“I don’t think we have problems with our African-American neighbors,” he said. “The problem is gangs from outside.”

Rabbi Sperlin downplayed reports of daily attacks against Jews in the neighborhood that elected officials have cited as the reason for their concern.

“What could I tell you: Last night there was no assault, the night before there was no assault,” he said, although he did acknowledge that last week there had been three confrontations.

With representatives like this it’s no big surprise we don’t get any police protection here.

  • dont have a chance

Honestly, these black kids just don’t have a chance. They don’t know who their fathers are, they aren’t properly educated, and their mothers curse them from the day they are born.(I see lots of times these mothers shouting curse words at their toddlers!)
The African American community should address the real problems that their people are facing. Instead of being dependent on welfare and robbing people of their possesions they should learn that you have to work for a living and success.

  • way to go Sperlin!!

Way to go Sperlin.. That’ll definitely help the Police department take the situation seriously. If the community “leader” downplays the situation -why should they…..

  • Yosef Abrahamson Fan

This is Great News… i think we need Yosef Abrahamson, to be the Police comissioner for a day and have him take care of these minors.

who is Yosef i dont know but he wrote a great essay that talkes about how we should address these issues and crime in general.

I believe “crime of opportunity” means that the victim was in the wrong place at the wrong time & the perps took advantage of his vulnerability.

In other words, it was not a pre-planned attack. The bad guys just thought, Hey! A kid with a bike!

Now do we believe that’s all it was? That’s the next question.

  • Moshe

I want to thank the police for doing a good job in catching these criminals!

Did anyone notice dozens of video cameras being installed all over the neighborhood?

I was just wondering who is behind it and who is paying for these cameras.

  • job well done

a big thank you to the cops, on a job well done!
    keep it up this way!

  • Arrest All the Criminals

I hope the Police catch the criminals for the other 3 vicious Assaults over the weekend, 1 By Eastern Parkway & Albany a Jew got pelted with stones & Assaulted, 2 A Jew got Arrested for holding down a black male who Assaulted Jews, and instead of the cops arresting the criminal they arrested the Jew, and 3, on Empire & Brooklyn Ave a African American on a bike hit & kicked Jews & ran away, also maybe these two thugs who got arrested did some of these crimes also, the police should look into the fact that these two boys who got arrested could of done more assaults on Jews over the weekend.
