CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Just days after an Hasidic teen was attacked in Crown Heights, police investigated Sunday another alleged attack on a group of Jews in the neighborhood.
The incident took place Saturday afternoon near a temple on Eastern Parkway.
Police Investigate Second Attack On Crown Heights Jews
CROWN HEIGHTS, Brooklyn — Just days after an Hasidic teen was attacked in Crown Heights, police investigated Sunday another alleged attack on a group of Jews in the neighborhood.
The incident took place Saturday afternoon near a temple on Eastern Parkway.
Witnesses tell NY1 three black men yelled racial slurs and threw rocks at the victims.
No one was hurt and no arrests were made Sunday.
The latest incident came as both the Jewish and black communities of the neighborhood met to say they had had enough of violence and discrimination.
Geoffrey Davis, brother of slain Councilman James Davis, joined neighbors to call for more police patrols.
The meeting also asked that everyone in the neighborhood to work together to prevent bias crimes.
“The wheel does not have to be reinvented. My brother Councilman James E. Davis created various program as an elected official and as a private citizen, and if we go back to those programs, we can organize and get together and be one happy family,” said Geoffrey Davis.
“We need to know that 24 hours a day we’re entitled to walk down our streets without having the fear of somebody coming up from behind us and basically assaulting us, robbing us, or whatever that they be,” said Crown Heights resident Sam Stern.
Early Friday morning, 16-year-old Alon Sherman was attacked and robbed while riding his bike.
Witnesses told police they saw two black men flee the scene.
No arrests were made Sunday.
As of Sunday, police did not call either incident a hate crime.

I believe this recent spike in violence is directly a result of the agitation of ‘Al Sharpton’ and his peace marches.
It is high time this thug is held accountable for his actions.
It is against the law to yell “Fire” in a crowded theater. Al Sharpton proverbially yells: “murder”.
Get him for incitement, once and for all.

It is not only sharpton. Why are we calling these regular greety crimes “hate crimes”?! The shvartze wants your watch and your wallet and your cell phone; he couldn’t care less if you were jewish or lehavdil chinese or hispanic.
By feeding the media frenzy with the whole hype around hate crime shmate crime, WE are creating the tension, a tension that the media loves and fuels, the same “racial tension” reported in the media in july and august 1991, leading to (and causing, i think) the riots we lived trhough .
Continue asking for police presence as a solution for crime but leave the “hate” out of it. You’d accomplish much more. we know sharpton’s approach is wrong, so don’t emulate the chalera!

It’s a real embarrassment to the crown heights residents and I speak mainly to the wealthy ones. How can you sit back and watch all this violence happen and not feel the need to take some of your wealth and make crown heights a safe place? What are you waiting for, a fatal attack? YOu should be ashamed of yourselves! I guess as long as your family are untouched you see no reason to spend the money. Why open your walllets if your family is “safe”? It’s disgusting how the wealthy just sit back and make themselves blind to the situation! This would never happen in non lubavitch communities! Some reason, it seems that the ones that have money in crown heights are down right stingy! and dont know how to part with a dime!

Just to add to those that arent clear with what was written, i am implying to get GOOD security to make crown heights safe. How about high tech video surveillance cameras all over? Private security on every corner in crown heights? Why wouldnt you want to make the rebbes neighborhood a safe place to live?
