The mural is composed of the faces of many children, when viewed up close, yet when taking a few steps back the individual pictures from the face of a single child, the motto of the Jewish Childerens Museum, unity.

Police were called and members of the NYPD’s graffiti task force and intelligence divisions all responded and with help of video surveillance and forensic evidence, are investigating the incident. The ‘graffiti’ isn’t being considered a bias incident and it is not being taken as any form of a threat.

Graffiti is taken as a serious offence in New York City, which is considered a serious ‘quality of life’ offence, and in order to combat the occurrence stiffer penalties have been imposed, which include fines up to $500 and imprisonment. Also, rewards of up to $500 are offered to members of the public who call 911 and result in an arrest.

The suspect caught on camera as he flees the scene.

DIdn’t the Museum use their government money to pay for cameras outside? Where are Moishe’s cameras?

The NYPD was asked to put up one of the big anti-crime cameras at this corner but no response yet. Maybe Chanina can ask the Mayor when they have meetings?

  • total sarcasm

maybe the museum needs to have more multi-cultural programs and be more inclusive, so they goyim should like us. This happened because we are elitist and chauvenistic, and this poor soul didnt have everything he needed when growing up – and that’s our fault.

If you aren’t sure, this is SARCASM

Yes, I agree completely with total sarcasm. The JCM should have programs such as “make your own crack pipe” and “build your own toy car and then break the windows and get the GPS” so that it can better serve all of those who live in its vicinity.
