The Vaad Hakohol Urges All Crown Heights Residents To Vote

October 30, 2025

Dear Members of the Crown Heights Community,

With early voting well under way in the general election in New York City, we want to take a moment to remind and encourage every eligible member of our community to participate. The 2025 New York City General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, with early voting available from Saturday, October 25 through Sunday, November 2, 2025.

As always, voting is an important way for our community’s voice to be heard — on issues that affect our daily lives: schools, neighborhoods, safety, services, housing, and more.

In addition this year, there is a major decision to be made that will directly impact the welfare of our community.  While this letter is not endorsing any candidate or party, we urge you to exercise your right to vote to ensure that our community’s concerned are properly protected.

Here are a few steps you can take to prepare:

• Confirm your voter registration status. Make sure your name, address, and other details are up to date.

• Know your polling location. Early voting locations may differ from your Election Day polling place. You can check online via NYC’s official voter lookup tools (https://vote.nyc/page/find-your-poll-site).

• Plan when you will vote. Decide whether you’ll vote during early voting or on Election Day (Nov 4).

• Encourage your family and friends. Spread the message that voting matters.

Our community needs you to turn out. By voting, each one of us helps affirm our commitment to the well-being of our neighborhood and the city we call home. We look forward to seeing our community’s strong turnout this fall.

With warm regards,

Crown Heights Jewish Community Council
