Crown Heights Survey Results: 52.9% For Cuomo, 36.4% Say Sliwa
by CrownHeights.info
A CrownHeights.info poll of voters in the Crown Heights Jewish community regarding their plans for the upcoming mayoral election brought back some surprising results this week. Just over half reported they will vote Cuomo, while over 36% said they will be voting for Sliwa.
The survey, which garnered nearly 200 responses, asked community members whom they will be voting for in the upcoming NYC Mayoral election, with three options presented to them. Zohran Mamdani (Democrat), Andrew Cuomo (Independent), and Curtis Sliwa (Republican).
The results were as follows:
Zohran Mamdani (Democrat)———-10.7%
Andrew Cuomo (Independent)——–52.9%
Curtis Sliwa (Republican)—————36.4%
In the Crown Heights Jewish community, with its diverse mixture of political ideologies, the voting spread of political parties is not – in and of itself – surprising. It should be noted though that due to his extremist views, Mamdani is unlikely to receive even a fraction of the Crown Heights Jewish Communities votes, with the 10.9% likely created by demographics who regularly respond to surveys.
The actual surprise can be found in Sliwa’s strong numbers, despite a blanket endorsement by Crown Heights leaders and political activists, alongside his near guarantee to lose the election. This is possibly due to two factors heavily influencing Jewish voters, the strong dislike for Cuomo due to COVID era actions, and their disdain for anything to do with the Democratic Party. Cuomo initially ran in the Democratic Primary, but lost to Mamdani.
This survey was done with a voluntary response model and published on Crown Heights.info.

Voting for Sliwa is giving votes to Mamdani. Because Sliwa has no chance of winning. So you are helping Mamdani by voting for him because you are taking votes away from Cuomo.
