JFA Publishes Election Update, 400 Newly Registered Voters in The Last Four Months
Every vote is important, especially in Crown Heights.
“Whether you vote or not is public record, but not who you vote for,” says Rabbi Yaacov Behrman, President of the Jewish Future Alliance. Elected officials pay attention to community turnout.
As of October 10th, there are approximately 6,500-6,800 registered Anash voters in Crown Heights, a historic high. In the 2020 Presidential Election, about 4,438 Anash voters participated. With only two weeks left to register—deadline October 26th—let’s ensure our friends and family are signed up. Register at Anashvote.com!
This estimate includes 5,602 Anash individuals who have voted at least once since 2020 (as reported by JFA), with an additional 449 registering between May 2023 and May 2024, and over 400 registering in the last four months. We also consider some newly registered voters since 2020 who have never voted.
In the general election, everyone can vote, regardless of party affiliation. If you can’t vote in person, apply for an absentee ballot by October 26th at requestballot.vote.nyc.
Note: If you request an absentee ballot, you cannot use a voting machine on Election Day, but you can vote with an affidavit ballot.
The JFA has identified about 200 inactive voters in Crown Heights who should be active. Voters become inactive when the Board of Elections sends out information notices and the mail is returned as “Undeliverable.” Check your status at Anashvote.com. If you are listed as inactive at the polls, you can still vote using an affidavit ballot.
