K’siva V’chasima Tova From The Vaad and CHJCC

Dear Crown Heights Community Members,

On behalf of the Vaad and CHJCC, we wish you all a K’siva V’chasima Tova, happy and sweet new year. As we enter תשפ״ה, the board is excited to continue our initiatives and bring visible improvements to our community. We are looking forward to a town hall meeting after Yom Tov to discuss recent improvements, our plans for the next year, and hear your valuable feedback.

For Tishrei, we have collaborated with the NYPD and local officials to enhance security outside 770 and in the neighborhood. Additionally, we worked along with the sanitation department of NYC for garbage dumpsters at 770 and Rubashkin’s to improve the beautification of our area.

The CHJCC operates a community food pantry available for Yom Tov to eligible individuals. To learn about the eligibility conditions and apply, email bella@chjcc.org or stop in at 387 Kingston Avenue.

We appreciate your support and cooperation in these efforts. To share ideas or get involved email us at board@chjcc.com

Looking forward to our best year yet as the community of Crown Heights.

Warm regards,
Berel Hildeshaim

I hope the CHJCC increases public engagement with monthly 30 min Zoom meetings.
I also hope the CHJCC finds its inner Moshe Rabbeinu and files a complaint to NYS AG James on Vital Brooklyn Kingsboro Psych and the 96 yr old Kingsbrook’s Shul’s forced closure. What is the position of the CHJCC on the City of Yes Upzoning Proposal which will result in investors outbidding homeowners in CH?
