Field Of Candidates Narrows In Vaad Hakohol Election
by CrownHeights.info
Leading up to the “Meet the Candidates” event for the Vaad Hakohol Deshchunas Crown Heights election taking place on Monday, the 12th of Iyar, May 20th, 8:00pm at the Lubavitcher Yeshiva Side Hall, the field of candidates has narrowed slightly.
While a previous press release from the vaad overseeing the elections showed nine candidates, a new flyer from the vaad names only eight, with the ninth having withdrawn his candidacy.
The “Meet the Candidates” event will allow the community to come and meet the candidates in person, where they will introduce themselves and highlight their plans for helping the community.
The event will be broadcast Live online.

When will women finally be allowed to vote in community elections?
Women should vote because CHJCC takes public money
Women should vote because CHJCC takes $1 million in “weatherlzation” funds from NYS HCR which benefits wealthy landlords with low income tenants.
A current candidate for CHJCC elections retired a few years ago from being an assistant commissioner for NYS HCR.
CHJCC is being controlled.

Jacob z Goldstein
I did not retire from DHCR several years ago. I am currently engaged in all housing matters as they pertain to my government agency. However, I did retire from Army after 38 years as the longest serving Jewish Chaplain in uniform.
Jay Sorid.
Thank you for your service Colonel Goldstein.
I am curious whether any of the candidates are concerned that the CHJCC never participated on ZOOM or submitted written comments for any of the NYS Environmental meetings regarding NYS HCR’s Vital Brooklyn Kingsboro.
Would the candidates call far a NYS investigation into the Vital Brooklyn 43rd Asemb Cmte meetings ALL being all held on Saturdays?
Jay Sorid
Jews were discriminated against & shut out of the public engagement process (due process) on ALL Vital Brooklyn Public Meetings which were on Saturdays., only.

Mendel to Jacob Goldstien
Jocob Goldstien- thanks for all your help over the years. Are you able to help prevent all the homeless shelters that are being built in our communities (by Winthrop/Clarkson)?
Maybe instead, a Developer should buy off the huge property and build condos for the community.
