A Big Win As Brian Cunningham Breezes to Albany in Special Election

by CrownHeights.info

It’s another major election win for Crown Heights as the United Crown Heights endorsed candidate holds easy victory thanks to the Crown Heights Jewish community.

Brian Cunningham, who received the United Crown Heights endorsement for the 43rd Assembly District Special Election, floated to the top of the pack with 1869 votes, with nearly 100% of all votes tallied.

“Mazel Tov @cunningham4ny on the win tonight,” Tweeted Rabbi Yaakov Behrman, one of the leading activists that galvanized the community to come out and vote.

Cunningham beat out the runner up, Jelanie Deshong, by over 800 votes, with Deshong getting a total of 1036 in the latest poll numbers.

The 800 vote difference would very likely have changed without the Crown Heights community, which came out by the hundreds to vote.

This victory heralds the second such election victory where Crown Heights played kingmaker, making the Crown Heights Jewish community a powerhouse for future elections.

A big thank you to the Jewish community was extended by Brian Cunningham himself, who thanked he community and said that he was ready to go to Albany.

You realky believe that he will be “good” for us?
Like you all were positive that Eric Adam was?
I and many others hughly doubt it. Political promises have been proven time and again to be just politics. They know what to say to get us to back them

None of these people will be “good” for us. But they can be less bad for us and do good things for us.

And by less bad, we mean the difference between someone who has confused values and someone who hates us and take pleasure in doing us harm H”Y, R”L.

Well said. I bet soon enough we’ll be seeing lots of articles about how Cunningham ate at this askon’s sukkah and participated in that askon’s photo op, but then eventually about how terrible he’s been for us and how we have to support the next Democrat challenger.

Fool me once, shame on you; fool me twice, shame on me…

Thank you so much for helping Crown Heights community get our act together and vote in big numbers, showing that we are a power to be reckoned with, and that our vote makes a difference, and when our vote makes a difference the politicians want to keep us happy.
