ULY of Ocean Parkway Fine-tunes Teaching Skills
This past Sunday the Rebbeim and English teachers of the Lubavitcher Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway got together to fine tune and hone their educational skills.
A guest speaker for professional development was invited to attend a Yom Iyun in order to address the entire staff on the subjects of
a very happy parent
Incredible! This has to be one of the best schools in lubavatch, caring teachers out of the box programs that keep our kids interested, and teachers that have been at it for decades still looking to improve! Kol hcavod to you Rabbi Dechter and all the staff.
Talmidim from the 80- and 90-s
We need an entire new revamping of the Yeshiva.
We need Rabbi Bogomilsky back.
The Yeshiva once was a Yeshiva. Thank you Rabbi Kornblitt and rabbi Stein for making the Yeshiva building so beautiful. Thank you Rabbi avtzon and Rabbi Ekhaus for being the best administrators and Rebbe’s.

A Proud Parent!!!!
I second #1
Thank you.
So nice to see and so proud of such an endeavor.
Thank you.
So nice to see and so proud of such an endeavor.
Wonderful to hear....
Whoever is on board with this is to be highly regarded, in my opinion. Rather than walking with their heads in the sand, they are acting as intelligent educators with the student as the focus of their jobs. I am so thankful and impressed.
Proud to know the truth
To number one. Have you seen the Yeshiva lately. Go to the kitchen and dining room. Go to the gym. Go into any clessrooms and see the damage. Ocean Parkway needs a proper administrator.
After you visit the Yeshiva than write back.

The Rebbes moised chai vekayon. For years this was the only Tomchei Temimim. For years they were financially distressed, thank you Rabbi Dechter and crew for taking on your shoulders the responsibily to keep alive Tomchei Temimim Lubavitch at a time when no one else would.

The school looks old?? It is old!! Give money for a new kitchen and they will build!!
To # 7-
Well, I don’t think one can judge the quality of educators based upon the physical aspects of a school. I understand that it matters, of course, but it is not the qualifying attribute. Furthermore, a school can be physically beautiful and kept well, yet the quality of the education can be very poor. If I had to choose, I would not hesitate to choose trained teachers who focus on effective practices. Of course a physically in-tact facility along with that is the optimal scenario. If you can do something to help that along, I hope you do. The real “damage”, however, happens to humans, not rooms themselves. Maybe Ocean Parkway needs help with its physical problems, but I would send my child there before I sent them to ignorant teachers who do not avail themselves to the true art of teaching, which by nature requires the teacher to be professional enough to review and refresh as other professionals are required to do.

You forgot the one man who makes it all happen in yeshiva, who gives his heart and soul to the place… That is Rabbi S. Dechter, He is the glue that keeps the place together!
from #1 to #7
I’ve been to the Yeshiva many times in the past few years and love to see how they keep making improvements in the building little by little….But for more important in my eyes is not the physical appearance but the fact that the children there go home happy because they know the staff of yeshiva really cares for them….even thew yeshiva doesn’t have “smart boards”
