NEW LOW: Thugs Spit in Mazkir’s Face
It is well-known that there is a group of thugs that parade around as Yeshiva Bochurim who terrorize and attack anyone who does not agree with their “shita.” Over the years there have been countless incidents, where they have verbally and physically attacked those that are not from their “camp.” Usually these attacks occur in 770.
How Low Will it Get?
It is no secret who these thugs are, and many of the incidents have been reported to the Hanhala. The Hanhala has refused to take any serious action against these thugs, even when they themselves were attacked, as previously reported here on CrownHeights.Info.
One of the less publicized tactics of these thugs is that they have a “custom” to spit on the ground in the direction of certain individuals whom they view as being the leaders of those that don’t agree with their “shita.” Many Rabbonim and senior mashpiim have “merited” receiving this unique treatment. There is one Mazkir of the Rebbe who has been repeatedly targeted by this group and several times has been the victim of this behavior.
A few weeks ago the thugs reached a new low when one of their group was not satisfied with spitting on the ground in the direction of the Rebbe’s Mazkir as he walked by on Kingston and Carroll, but decided that this time he would spit the Mazkir straight in the face!
The Bochur who committed this despicable act was identified as Dovi Kubichek from Yerushelayim.
Once Kubichek was identified, the Hanhala was approached and given all of the information. It was determined that Kubichek was here on an I-20 student visa, which the Yeshiva is able to revoke at any time. They promised that they would do so immediately, and that Kubichek would have to return to Israel.
The next day the Hanhala communicated that they had spoken with Kubichek and that he was remorseful for his actions and would like to write a letter of apology to the Mazkir. They were told that the letter of apology should be written after his return to Israel. The Hanhala agreed. They were told that if Kubichek is truly remorseful and returns to Israel, then there would be no need to publicize this story. If however he attempts to stay here, then there would be no choice but to publicize the story. Kubichek was given one week to make arrangements for his return to Israel.
Two days later the Hanhala called back to say that they had spoken to Kubichek’s parents and they had requested that he be allowed to stay in America until after Chanukah due to “family concerns.” The Hanhala conveyed that they were acquiescing to the family’s request.
The Hanhala was told that the reason why the group of thugs behaves as they do is due to the fact that the Hanhala has demonstrated time and again that they have no backbone. The more that the thugs get away with, the more brazen they behave. The only way to stop this type of behavior once and for all is for the Hanhala to take action like a Hanhala should, by immediately revoking Kubichek’s I-20 and sending him back to Israel. The wishy-washy actions of the Hanhala simply reinforce the mindset of the thugs that they can do whatever they want, and get away with it.
It is now three full days after Chanukah and the Yeshiva has not revoked Dovi Kubichek’s I-20 student visa. It is now three full days after Chanukah and Dovi Kubichek is still roaming the streets of Crown Heights.
Years ago, when a similar matter involving Yeshiva Bochurim was brought to the Rebbe’s attention, the Rebbe told Reb Dovid Raskin [see video below], who was the Menahel of the Yeshiva at the time, that the Bochurim should be told to “pack their bags and go to Bnei Brak.”

One wonders – why didn’t the Rebbe send Reb Dovid to speak to the parents of the bochurim?
Who is more to blame – the thugs or the Hanahla that refuses to take any serious action against them?

I just watched the video, and, if I heard correctly, the Rebbe said they should “Either go back to B’nei Brak or elsewhere, or they should change completely”.
You would have to be naive to believe that todays Tzfatim have any hope of change, which leaves us with only the former option…

Even today one of those Mossrim, The Mosser Shalom Cohen resides in 749 Eastern Parkway.
Cohen is diffidently not a student at the yeshiva and is employed by Mendel Hendel.

It is also “the hub” of all lubavitch. 770 is the headquarters and needs to be treated with respect and dignity.the problem is not the thugs alone. Where do they come from, what Yeshiva do they study in that sets in thier mind that this is ok? The Hanhola of 770 should not be given a choice in this matter, revoke the visa and send him home. Gain control over the yeshiva or find another job. Regardless of your belief and what “camp” you are on..The mazkirim of the rebbe were chosen by the rebbe…and if you think the rebbe did not choose well, then you do not belong in 770. ENOUGH is enough throw the garbage out. If need be higher security gaurds and let them do teh dirty work. AND CUT THE FUNDING untill they cut the garbage.

Second, spitting in someone’s face is ASSAULT, a criminal offence. The attacked person has the option of calling the police. If the violence is getting out of control, this may be appropriate (consult your rav).

A non-Lubavitch individual who attacked a Chasid of the Rebbe 30 years ago is today in jail for another violent but non-related offense. What goes around comes around, as most of his gang are out of the picture permanently & they are only in their 50’s. I remember the incident very well and I was told that the Rebbe said something to the effect that if you hurt my Chassidim you hurt me (the Rebbe.) This thug needs to have that said in no uncertain terms in Hebrew so he gets it. He really needs to know who in reality he is messing with. Like the non-Lubavitcher, his future as a criminal may well be guaranteed. I’ll bet this isn’t the first violent act he’s carried out, he probably pulled wings off flies & terrorized the neighborhood cats when he was a child.
This Hanhala is weak, and I am so happy my sons never learned in 770 before, during, or after Smicha. There are enough ehrliche bochurim to give 770 a good reputation and keep it going without these animals. Send them all back & refuse to accept any more of them. By the way, he is hiding his yellow pin…what a shanda! Good to know his buddy has his, though.
One last thing – how can the Hanhala face the Mazkir after allowing such behavior to go unpunished? How can he even tolerate them for a second? These are supposed to be Chassidim. Where is THEIR respect for the Rebbe’s choice of Mazkir?

If people want to believe either way, let them. If all are truly concerned with bringing the Moshiach they should do more Mitzvahs and practice Ahavas Yisroel. Just file a police report and he will probably be deported. If this is done, it is unlikely that it would be necessary to revoke his immigration status by the Hanholo of the Yeshiva.
