Shomrim 6 to Mark 2 Years to Their Miraculous Victory

Shomrim Coordinator Gedalia (Gadi) Hershkop speaks at last years event.

It was a fight for their lives, a combined 90 years in prison could have been the punishment handed down by the courts of the State of New York had they have – Chas Veshalom – been found guilty, but have been miraculously saved from this evil decree.

No, this isn’t a story about Chassidim resisting the persecution of the communists in Russia, or the Jews fighting the Romans in the times of the Holy Temple, this took place at 320 Jay Street in Brooklyn, NY just two years ago where a group of Jews pointed fingers at a group of other Jews, with the intention of having them locked up for as long as they could manage. But they failed.

The 22nd of Kislev is the day that the “Not Guilty” verdict was handed down by a jury of twelve, sparing the group of six Shomrim volunteers and their families from the perils and unknowns.

In honor of this momentous day Shomrim invites the community to join them this Motzai Shabbos, the 17th of December, for Melava Malka and Seudas Hodaah at the Ateres Chaya hall located at 1640 Carroll Street. The event will begin at 8:00pm.

  • Victory for all CH

A Victory to every Crown Heights resident.

Imagine the mossrim having the “victory”, imagine the terror/intimidation/harassment/extortion that would be happening today.

The new mossrim logo would be…
“Get in line, do as we say or we will lock you up like we locked up the Shomrim/Hershkops”.

Every CrownHeights Residents should be very very grateful for the outcome.

  • Didan Notzach? Not Yet

The results of the Shomrim Six case was not a Didan Notzach, nobody won anything. The results (the not guilty) was a Podo Beshalom, Six innocent Jews got to keep what was already theirs, their freedom.

In-order for this to be a Didan Notzach a lot of work is ahead. Jewish blood is not cheap. What is needed is to to bring down the Mossrim who were behind this Mesira once and for all. Somebody(s) has to take responsibility for this. We must make sure this does not happen again, not to me, not to you, not to anyone!

  • Supporter

Sorry I missed it. The trial was a travesty & should never have taken place. I’m glad I was able to attend & show support for these korbonos. B”H 12 goyim saw the emes.

Continued Hatzlacha for keeping us safe!

  • our own?

What was greater, the leaving of prison, or the leaving of the home of the misnagid?.

The Alter Rebbe upon leaving the home of the snag said those few hours were worse then the sitting years in prison.

    Why?

Becuase is was “one of our own”

    My thoughts:

It hurts worse when its “our own” regarding the shomrim6.
