Audio: “Protecting Our Children, Making Safety Kids”
At this year’s Merkos Chinuch Office Teachers Conference one topic appealed to all, child safety. Presented by Mrs. Debbie Fox, all teachers sat riveted throughout the hour and a half lecture focusing on identifying the telltale signs of abuse.

Debbie Fox I-d like an honest answer:
Great lecture, great practical helpful suggestions.Yes empower the children. But as you say it may be generational the tendency/leaning to be an abuser so if this is a G-d given leaning, how can for instance, a teen age predator get off this and stop the behavior etc?? Where is there help for the abuser who has been given the Yetzer Hora towards this behavior besides banishing them and publicizing their names on websites?? They are no better than you or I but do need help.If this is indeed generational, through no fault of their own, the abusers have this leaning, where is the help for them to deal with this without being reported and listed as offenders? Where is the help? The abuser has a sickness and I don’t see anyway they can be helped if they were to come forward, as all that would happen would be that their name would be on a list of people to stay away from. Even the stop it now website will have them listed….As I see it if abusers realize they are doing something wrong and want to stop they have absolutely nowhere safe to go for help.
A curse without a CURE??!!
The Abuser has a internal craving for this perverse behaviors!
If this attraction (& intense drive) is indeed a real involuntary fact of their nature, through no fault of their own,
where is the HELP for them to deal with this overpowering addiction?? without being reported and listed as offenders? Where is the help? The abuser has a sickness and I don’t see anyway they can be helped if they were to come forward, as all that would happen would be that their name would be on a list of people to stay away from. Even the stop it now website will have them listed….As I see it if abusers realize they are doing something wrong and want to stop they have absolutely nowhere safe to go for help.
