Kvutzeh Hanholo Warns Bochurim after Shliach Incident

CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — After CrownHeights.info’s article exposing the actions of a number of ‘Tzfati’ Bochurim toward a Shliach, the Hanholoh of Kvutzeh posted a letter in 770 warning Bochurim in the strongest possible way that disrespecting anyone, Anash or Shluchim, will result in dismissal from Yeshiva without warning.

This letter comes after CrownHeights.info published a story about a group of ‘Tzfatis’ who terrorized a Shliach who was in 770.

The letter translates: (free translation)

“The Hanoholo of the Yeshiva found it necessary to inform all the Talmidim of a clear and sharp instruction, after a situation in which some Talmidim (as if leshem Shomayim) hurt the respect Rachmono Litzlan of anyone in general, and especially a member of Anash, Shliach etc,

Therefore in the most special of ways we will be especially strict on even the lightest of things. If a Talmid gets involved in some Machloikes, and will insult by words, or by actions etc, he will be immediately dismissed without warning.

The Hanholo.

P.S. Explanation:

The source of this, as it is known, that Talmidim are supposed to only learn Torah etc, and not be busy in anything aside from that.

Especially in things that are opposite of our teachings, respect and peace, and disrespecting someone and causes to a desecration of g-ds name and makes machloikes heaven forbid.

oh please, this is only in defense of whats coming on CHLEAKS.COM

The so called Bochorim have been here for years and the Yeshivas does not control them.

Mendel Hendel pays the Yeshiva to give these boys Visa so they can work for him.

    More games!

I see the stationary is from the Central Yeshiva at Ocean Parkway! Does this unsigned letter apply in any way to Kvutzah Bochurim in 770 and Chovivei Torah, and if so, pray tell, who authorized it?

Why is there always shtick and politics in everything that relates to Crown Heights? Were they unable to put out this letter on 770 stationary? Was it impossible to get the Rosh Yeshiva and other hanhalah members to actually sign the letter?

Think about it – this is symbolic of all that goes on around us: half truths, lies, politics, power struggles, and ducking the truth.

  • Its all talk!

And they did WHAT, exactly, to the thug who attacked the Shliach?

Answer….NOTHING. It’s all smoking mirrors. I want to see the smoking gun after it fires at these creeps’ rear ends as they board El Al to Israel.

Why is an explanation needed in this letter? Why isn’t it obvious?

What a weasely statement. They won’t come out and say that stealing is an issur de’oraisa, assault is an issur de’oraisa, damaging someone’s property is an issur de’oraisa. Instead they hide behind saying that it’s not a tomim’s job, that a tomim is supposed to be learning and should leave these other “mitzvos” for his elders. Nu, nu, so long as they carry through on the threat of expulsion — and that it carries through to the next year as well.

  • RS

they have to take some kind of action. This is not about hashgafas, or, as some call it “politics” (that word doesnt seem to really fit when one thinks into it). This is about being unstable. This is really a situation which makes it necessary to take such actions. Its so sad, this Safati issue is like, they don’t even really see or know what the Rebbe wants for us, for now, for the current times. He cannot see the forest through the trees, he is harming one of the Rebbe’s soldiers….for ….what?

  • Action speaks louder than words

IY“H we will see ACTION backing up this ”Azhara Hachi Chamura”. Aveera D’Eretz Yisroel Machkim, any these bachurim should be sent back to Israel, where hopefully the holy air will do their brains some good. Obviously the Rebbe’s daled amos isn’t doing it for them…

  • Good Morning

This letter is way overdue, but the saying is “better late than never”

  • disappointed

It’s about time! It is shocking that the Hanhola actually did something right!! Now it’s time for the lefties to take a stand against those of their side as well.

  • makes sense?

did they throw out the people who did it? or is this a warning saying there will be no warning? because of the rule is that they throw them out without a warning then these bochurim should be thrown out without a warning and this letter should be a warning to everyone else

Menachem Mendel Hendel, Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim and 749

Mr. Hendel reported giving over $100,000 from his non-for-profit to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim.

In 2004 Mr. Hendel reported giving the amount of $8,917 to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim (770)

In 2005 Mr. Hendel did not file anything to the IRS.

In 2006 Mr. Hendel reported giving the amount of $5,000 to “Friends of Yeshiva Tomchei Temimim” (No public records were found of this organization).

In 2007 Mr. Hendel reported giving the amount of $28,511 to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim (770).

In 2008 Mr. Hendel reported giving the amount of $38,026 to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim (770).

In 2009 Mr. Hendel reported giving the amount of $31,449 to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim (770).

Total amount reported to CYTT in recent years: $106,903 (not including the $5,000 given to Friends of YTT)

It is WIS belief that Mr. Hendel uses funds from his non-for-profit by paying off the Yeshiva to sign affidavits for the purpose of having his boys receive student visas. Once they have these student visas they are then employed by Mr. Hendel.

Mr. Hendel also pays the Yeshiva to let these so called “students” reside in 749 and eat from the Yeshiva dining room, although they do not actually attend the Yeshiva.

And those is the reason that despite all the acts of violence we (the Crown Heights residents) have witnessed or heard about coimng from these “students” and despite the fact that these students have participated in Mesira (informing on other Jews – usually on those who oppose Mr. Hendels agenda), the Yeshiva has taken absolutely no action and as a matter of fact did not even say a word of protest. (More about this in the comments bellow).

The reason is now so obvious, these “students” belong to Menachem Mendel Hendel, Hendel paid for them, they are not under the Yeshivas jurisdiction.

You may ask: But the Yeshiva has said something, just today Crown Heights.info posted above statement from the Yeshiva.

CHLEAKS replies: 1) CHLEAKS is going to take credit for this, as CHLEAKS addressed this question a few days ago (mentioning how CHLEAKS will expose why they don’t say anything) all this is is a knee jerk reaction.

    2) This is to little to late. After 15 years of acts of violence and Mesira by these so called “students” this is what they have to show, smoke and mirrors?

  • Show Me The Money

After two years of court appearances on October 14th, 2009, Six of our fellow Jews, fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, neighbors, volunteers in Shomrim and life residents of the Crown Heights Community were sent to trial, where they if found guilty would spend 15 plus years in prison.

The reason these six good people were now facing possible imprisonment is as a result of an altercation they had in the Yeshiva dorm located at 749 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn, NY with a few Messianic boys (aka ‘Tzfatim’) who claimed to have been students in Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim, which is located in 770 Eastern Parkway Brooklyn NY.

With the help of the Crown Heights Shmira which is under the leadership of the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council Inc., the ‘Tzfatim’ were encouraged to make police reports and to push the case. Three weeks after the altercation the Six Jews volunteers in Shomrim (‘Shomrim Six’) were arrested and issued D.A.T.

The trial lasted for six whole weeks.

Throughout all this and much after the trial the four complaining students, Shneur Rotem, Yaakov Shatz, Gabrial Brownstein, and Elkon Moshe Gurfunkle were residing at 749, the Yeshiva dorm belonging to Central Yeshiva Tomchei Tmimim.

[Three others claiming to be students in the Yeshiva at the time, Shalom Cohen, Shuki Gur and Yisroel Noach Belinizki would later testify as witnesses on behalf of their Messianic friends].

Many of these students have been employed by Mendel Hendel at one time or another.

The Yeshiva administration did not say a word about all this. In no way did they protest this viscous blood libel -Mesira-. In no way did they try to expel these, so called, students from the Yeshiva, and in no way did they try to assist the Shomrim Six.

When the Yeshiva administration was approached and asked for help on this matter, they straight out refused, claiming that they were scared of being terrorized by the Messianics. This claim turns out to be so far from the ultimate truth.

The reason why the Yeshiva administration would not stand up and take action against the worse offense a Jew can commit (Mesira), has nothing to do with intimidation, harassment nor terrorism. Maybe just maybe that would be an excuse. But maybe not! Six good hard working, family men were facing 15 years prison, there is no excuse!

The truth behind their silence is shameful and pitiful to say the least.
Money and Greed is the ultimate reason why it was ok for Six of our fellow Jews, fathers, husbands, sons, brothers, neighbors, volunteers in Shomrim and life residents of the Crown Heights Community to go to jail.

Mendel Hendel pays off the Yeshiva to do his biddings and to accommodate his employees.

  • Lighten Up People & Love Your Fellow Jew

Crown Heights is filled with such angry people! Comments are always bitter – are those the implacable emotions swirling beneath the resentful frowns and serious faces, one most often sees on the streets of Crown Heights.

  • Another reason y Hendel gives $$

Eshel uses yeshiva’s kitchen in 1414 every year for about a month. The mikva in 749 is also affiliated with him Why is it so hard to understand that they pay for that???
This has nothing to do with chleaks conspiracies!

  • re:#17

you are sick in your head,
would you “donate” so much money, just to feed some bochurim for free?

ou haev a HUGE agenda of Sinah!

  • SICK AND TIRED

I read the first five comments and without wasting precious time reading the rest of the “shmuts” I have two things to say: #1. who the H_ _ _ gives a darn who’s stationary etc. it is. the fact that such a letter went out is GREAT! #2. after reading comments number 1, 2, and 5 I am convinced of the reason why not only we can’t get out of this lousy golus, but why so many good and young people are dieing!!!!!! Why don’t we all adopt a policy of IF YOU DON’T HAVE SOMETHING NICE TO SAY, THEN JUST SHUT YOUR TRAP!!!! Your hateful words don’t help anything, they just help create or fuel more hatred and sinas chinam. Let’s remember that Israeli bochurim are not perfect humans but are still JEWISH! and let’s exercise some good old fashioned AHAVAS CHINAM. (I know that’s old fashioned and outdated, but let’s make it the vogue once again) WE WILL ALL BENEFIT FROM IT. in our marriages, friendships and all around!!!

  • pashkville

We used to call an unsigned letter a “pashkville”. What do we call a letter which is signed by an organization without any names of individuals of that organization? An official pashkville!

  • Happy Summer

I am having a great time here in C.H. Plan to stay here all summer,
and enjoy it. There are less people here in the summer & that gives
me more opportunity to get together with the people that I can communicate with & enjoy their company. I eagerly await seeing the buses taking the kids to camp & watch the people pack up & head for their summer homes & bungalows. A mechayeh! I hope everyone will have a great time & enjoy the summer, as I am doing so already. Next week will be the start of a nice new summer. Enjoy!!

I guess to you it wouldn’t matter if the letter was written on the stationary of Raskin’s Fish Store.

You wrote: “ Let’s remember that Israeli bochurim are not perfect humans”

We are talking about a bochur who acted like an animal and attacked a shliach of the Rebbe. I guess we can agree that animals are not “perfect humans” either.

  • yosy

why does this revolve around the rebbe and life and death?
Why does referring to the rebbe being alive present problems for those who think otherwise?
Why must the rebbe be dead in order for you to reconsile your belief in chabad & G-d?

  • To # 38 & # 39

The Rebbe MHM spoke much harsher words than Mendy did, about refering to the Rebbe Rayatz in such terms. We can sure say about you and those who think like you, ‘Rashayim k’ruyim meisim b’chayahem’, rashayim are called dead in their lifetime. You will learn what it means to be terrified, I am sorry to say.

“We can sure say about you and those who think like you, ‘Rashayim k’ruyim meisim b’chayahem’, rashayim are called dead in their lifetime. You will learn what it means to be terrified, I am sorry to say.”
Typical response of the Tzfatim. They determine who the reshaim are and will teach them,by using physical force “what it means to be terrified” and attribute their thuggish behavior to the Rebbe’s “harsh words”.

  • To #43 from #42 a 70yr. old man

Wrong again.Wrong assumtion, wrong conclusion. At least you people are very consistent. Just like you are wrong about this conclusion,
think about it and maybe you will realize the mistakes that are continuing on all sides and fronts. I am a 70(seventy) year old man. Plain & simple, I am 70yrs old. It should be terrifying to you & all the others, that you, the right & the left, seem to always come up with the wrong anwers & conclusions. Thats all I ment about ‘being terrified’, but you took it the way your mind is programmed to respond to everything that you guys hear & see. Yes you should be ‘terrified’ when you make such wrong assumtions & conclusions, but at least when it is brought to your attention, try to think about it & see if you can adjust your way of thinking. It takes a lot of training to do this, but give it a try, it can work. Hatzlachah Rabbah, from an old 70yr. old man.

  • Terrified

“Why does referring to the rebbe being alive present problems for those who think otherwise?
Why must the rebbe be dead in order for you to reconsile your belief in chabad & G-d?”
To all the well meaning but misguided individuals who tell us that we must be tolerant and turn the other cheek to the lunatics that are running the asylum.
I am terrified of the destruction of the beautiful edifice that the Rebbe spent his lifetime building. If someone entered your home with the intent of destroying it would you also scream tolerance of and achdus with these crazed individuals?
Do you realize that Lubavich has become the laughing stock of the Jewish world? I am terrified when I hear shluchim tell of the irreparable damage that the Meshichistin have caused to them and their shlichus.I am terrified when I see our children being psychologically scarred and becoming automatons chanting empty slogans forced down their throats not really knowing what the’re doing.I am terrified when I see so many of the younger generation going OTD because of the lunacy that is so prevalent in our community.I am terrified by the complacency of our so called “leadership” in the face of this ongoing spiral of tragedy that has befallen us.How much longer will we stick our heads in the ground hoping that all this will go away? Enough of the meaningless platitudes of tolerance and achdus in the face of this assault on the very fundamentals of what the Rebbe fought for.

  • Terrified

    To 70 year old man
I really don’t understand what age has to do with anything here but since you brought it up I am a 72 year old man.
    “Wrong again.Wrong assumtion, wrong conclusion.”
Since I’m 72 years old I could say the same about your conclusion.Instead of meaningless rhetoric how’s about using some logic to be back up your “educated” assertions.

  • To#46 from 70 yr. old man

You lie, boy. If you were 72, we could apply to you the well known saying, ‘Zakein V’Csil’, an old fool. You write in #43 Terrified:
typical response from the Tzfatim. I am not a Tzfati, whether you like it or not, again you are wrong, ‘Wrong again, wrong assumption, wrong conclusion’.

  • Terrified

    70 year old
“If you were 72, we could apply to you the well known saying, ‘Zakein V’Csil’, an old fool”

    There’s a lot that the “other”website doesn’t
publish. They have a very narrow minded, parochial agenda.Anything that’s politically incorrect is strictly verboten.

  • Puhleeze!

For # 25- What does loving fellow Jews have to do with this? This is stuff that SHOULD NOT BE GOING ON, and if one loves a fellow Jew, then one should not be putting harm or disrespect under the rug. We can love the person, but don’t equate that with allowing wrongdoing or corruption to prevail. Last I heard, wrongdoing does not accurately represent the beliefs of Judaism. I think an awareness of “black and white thinking” is in order, because sometimes everything is not so “either- or”. And sometimes the corruptors seem to rule the roost out of some strange undeserved power that is very unhealthy and unethical. And sometimes others are afraid to stand up for the right thing. Why? I hope it is not $ causing the hypocrisy. That’d be very very sad. I hope it’s not fear. That’d be sad, too.

  • Put yourself in a victim-s place

    # 30,Wrong is wrong. You know that, I know that, they know that, he knows that. Maybe some people are just tired of it. I think it is healthy to express their disappointment, otherwise they themselves harbor and perhaps build negativity, because they do have a sense of right and wrong being mishandled.
I think the next step is taking their rights and going to a person or group that they feel can respond with reason and fairness to the situation. That doesn’t mean they don’t have love in their hearts. In fact, it probably means they have much love in their hearts, and that’s why they care so much.
