Assemblyman Karim Camara Tours Crown Heights

Assemblyman Karim Camara who was born raised in Crown Heights, took a tour of the Jewish community with his chief of staff Thursday. The tour given was led by Rabbi Beryl Epstein of Chassidic Discovery Center. The Assemblyman who has a Lubavitcher working in his office, said that he was inspired and amazed by all he had learned about Lubavitch during his tour and he would do all he can to help our community.

    Karim Camara is a real mentsch. He had a lot of independence to show when he succeeded the corrupted Clarence Norman. In his first month in Albany Camara sponsored the most important bill for Crown Heights Jews, tuition tax credits. Albany needs more people like him.

    Everybody should spread the word about The Crown Heights Chassidic Discovery Center Tours run by Rabbi Beryl Epstein. He is AMAZING and peaple really enjoy it.

    Any Shliach out there should be sending their guys in. It’s even for Goyim to appreciate and Learn about Sheva Mitsvot B’nei Noach. The Tour takes the peaple around Crown Heights to the special spots like; The Matzah Bakery, 770, To see Torah Scrolls written etc. complete with a lunch at a Kosher Deli. It’s truly a fascinating experience.

    The way the Epstein speaks to the peaple is really special. His influence is wide. It’s great to walk down the street and see Epstein leading a group of 35-50 jewish teens or older professionals ,and from the looks on their faces, you know he’s doin a great job. Yasher Koach to Beryl.

    Rabbi Epstein’s tours are not as well known as they should be. Thesse tours
    are total mindopeners to Yiddishkeit in
    general and about Lubavitch – people
    come away extremely positive and upbeat, and fascinated.

    THIS is the tour bringing vibrant,
    down-to-earth Yiddishkeit to Jews and gentiles, religious people and non-observant. It is the voice of
    experience in dealing with "tourists" to Lubavitch and to Crown Heights.

    late wife, Dina) – has brought so much
    clarity and enlightment to so many over
    the years.

    Last year we offered a tour with Rabbi Epstein and Rabbi Kaplan as an option for our professional conference which was held in Jersey City. About 20 people attended from all over the world and they absolutely RAVED about it, agreeing that it was the highlight of the whole conference. We just ended our 2006 conference and people who had been on the tour were still coming up to me and saying what an amazing experience it was.
