Hackner Appointed to the Vaad Hakashrus

In a new development, Yossi Hackner, one of the members of the Vaad Hakohol, was appointed to a position within the Vaad Hakashrus.

Among Hackners duties will be to oversee the accounting of the Kashrus organization, as well as take care of delinquent customers and hold the organization accountable. Also, all financial decisions must be approved of by him.

According to the original psak it wasn’t very clear about the level of involvement from the Vaad Hakohol is permissible.

    QUESTION: Rashi states: “Like a set table which is ready for the person to partake of the feast.” In what sense is the halachah governing monetary matters like a set table?

    ANSWER: Many people are very particular about the kashrut of the food they eat. When they are invited to a party, before partaking of the foods laid out on the table, they inquire about the shechitah of the meat and the bakery that produced the baked goods, etc. Only if the food on the table meets their kashrut standards will they eat of it. Unfortunately, in monetary matters they are often not so stringent and they may even engage in questionable business practices.

    Rashi is suggesting that in money matters, one should be as strict as with the food on one’s table.

    The Code of Jewish Law is known as the Shulchan Aruch, which literally means “a set table.” This, too, emphasizes that in all issues of halachah one must act with total integrity, just as one demands the highest standards of kashrut.

    Don’t get me wrong, I don’t give a damn about the CHK Kashrut, it makes absolutely no difference in my life who runs that small operation.

    Any funny business taking place with the Kashrut pales in comparison to the corruption, fraud and theft thats taking place in the Crown Heights Jewish Community Council Inc.

    How hypercritical that the same Mossrim and Ganovim who have been stealing our tax money that comes to our community by way of Government Grants (meant to help people in need) are all of a sudden worried about “whats going on with the Kashrut?”, These very same Ganovim and Mossrim are worried about “Acdush” in the community, “Achdush” in the Beth Din?

    The answer is, they (Mossrim and Ganovim) are not worried, they couldn’t give a darn either whats happening with the Kashrut. What they are attempting to do, as they have done many times before (as WIS has already pointed out) is to distract the people away from the real issues, the real problem.

    The real problem, is the millions that has been stolen from the CHJCC.

    STOP BEING A DOG! STOP CHASING AFTER BONES [USELESS, MEANINGLESS PROPAGANDA]. START ASKING REAL QUESTIONS! START DEMANDING REAL ANSWERS! YOUR A PERSON, NOT A DOG!

    the Psak states clearly that the Kashrus must return to the CHJCC.
    it goes further then that, it also dictates who may and may not be part of the the Vaad Hashrus, namely NO RELATIVES! NO NEPOTISM!
    so i am very happy to see the first small steps, in returning the Kashrus to its rightful owners – the Whole community at large!

    Levertov and Matusov are just little weaklings and pawns that will play along and “pledge allegiance” to whomever runs the new show in town.

    As in all Overthrown Government Dictatorships, when the new regime overthrows the old Dictator and democracy prevails, they need not change the street level sanitation workers because they will all be happy to pledge allegiance to the new regime as long as they get to keep their old jobs.

    Levertov is an honest fellow but was always petrified to talk against the old dictatorship for fear of losing his job.

    Try it and you will see. Ask Levertov any sensitive question on the inside workings of the CHK corruption and notice how scared he gets to answer.

    His fears are hopefully over now when an honest democracy will run the show instead of a single handed Dictator masquerading under the false pretense that “I” and “I” and “I” are the so called mythical 3 of the “Beis Din”.

    “I” does not = Beis Din and so the entire CHK is one big fat fraud to call themselves “badataz” where untill now it was in truth a one and only single dictator.

    If you repeat the lie 3 times by saying “I” 3 times, it’s not not a Beis Din only a joke and a fraud

    Saying “I” 3 times does not = Badataz

    Just like saying “I” 10 times does not constitute a Minayn:-)

    Rabbi Levertov, quite an example needed not just for this blog, but for Chabad, today, in general
    He has managed, unlike anybody in Chabad leadership today, to work with all the opposing parties, egos and agendas.
    He has upheld Rabbis Dvorkin Marlow and Osdoba’s stringent guidelines to the extent that satmar the star k, rabbi babbad and skver (skver!) now follow Chabad’s stringent guidelines.
    A good business manager to work alongside and under Levertov would be a great idea but let us give credit where credit id due,

    CHK The most trusted Hechsher to be found! Yes indeed, this is how it was viewed by all mehadrin consumers when it was first established, and then again, what’s so surprising, how could it not be, when the Lubavitcher Crown Heights Bais Din gets involved in supervision of Kashrus, obviously only the highest standards of Kashrus would be acceptable..and so it was!
    Let us hope that CHK will regain the high status it enjoyed in it’s prime.

    How can anyone trust any Mashgiach when we all know what he obviously had to have known, that the entire chk system was run corruptly and with nepotism from the head of it.

    If a Mashgiach can cover-up and look the other way when the head of the chk pockets the money, consults no other rav and hires nepotism to protect himself?????

    How can anyone trust such a Mashiach on Kashrus if he covers up all this corruption?

    If he can give his hechsher for corrupt higher ups, he can’t be trusted for kashrus either.

    If he didn’t want to rat out his “rabbi” for fear of loosing his job and if saving his job is his posek achron then if a kashrus issue exists which can make him loose his job if he discloses the secret, he will feed us trief to protect his job too.
