Family and Friends Gather to Mark Issacs Yohrtzeit
CROWN HEIGHTS [CHI] — Family and friends gathered this past Motzai Shabbos for a Melava Malka marking one year to the passing of Reb Issac Zellermaier, a stalwart of chesed who dedicated his life to helping people.
Among those gathered were Hatzalah members who volunteered with him before he joined up and too a leadership role in Shomrim, which he was vigorously active in up to his last days, as well as acquaintances and all of his fellow Shomrim volunteers.
The gathered crowd was addressed by Rabbi Moshe Bogomilsky, who related a story connected with volunteers and how they are always repaid in the end. He also called on Shomrim to continue their work and reminded them that there was an entire community behind them, and they should not be deterred by a few minor obstacles.
