ULYOP Does Security Training
United Lubavitch Yeshiva of Ocean Parkway has started a cutting edge security training program with its staff, in order to ensure that the school should be one of the safest school environments across New York.
This was accomplished with the help and support of Haim Mitnizki, president of Global Security Planning, Jeffrey A. Slotnick, president of Setracon Security, and other security professionals.
Yeshiva staff training and programs have already been initiated with all the Rebbeim, morahs, teachers and faculty haven given up their own time to attend these seminars in order to advance their knowledge and ability to deal properly with the dangers facing schools today.
The Yeshivas installation of new security monitoring systems and devices will help keep students and faculty safe. “It is our goal and responsibility to make our yeshiva the safest place for staff and student alike, to provide security, and ensure everyone’s safety.”

Wow!
I graduated ULYOP in ’85…. The Beis Medrash looks exactly the same….. The same scratches on the walls…. same windows…… And (some of) the Rebi’s are still there, 26 years later!!!!
Amazing!
Yeshiva mom
Wow, I think every yeshiva should do this?
Way to go Rabbi Dechter
Teaching Training
Nice.
Do they also have teaching training for their teachers?
hey schools!
good start, but our schools are worried about external security issues that rarely arise while neglecting daily internal securities issues such as proper screening for staff, a serious system for children to report abuse, etc.
