ULY OP Learns CPR with FDNY Training Unit

BROOKLYN [CHI] — Students at United Lubavitcher Yeshiva on Ocean Parkway received CPR training this afternoon. They learned the updated procedures for CPR from the FDNYs Mobile CPR Unit.

Students from the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade took the course, which was given over by three FDNY instructors. Each of the students received a blow-up lifelike manikin, on which the practiced CPR and rescue breathing.

All the students received a FDNY training DVD, to help them practice at home. The students were also encouraged to have family a friends watch it as well.

“This is the first of many courses we hope to do in the Jewish school system in the future” said Shaya Gutleizer, who took the initiative and arranged the course.

    2nd he is the best and we are all happy that the Rabbeim said yes to this.. its very important that young Bochrim know CPR ‘it save lives’…
    3rd i would like to thank Shaya for doing this for the kids because of him there are a lot of people alive today. and because of today many more lives will be saved.!!!

    Great idea! All parents should take CPR classes you’ll never know when you’ll need it. I took CPR classes and saved my son who was choking on a candy.
