1,000 Montreal Children Enjoy Chanukah Spectacular
About a thousand children and parents from various communities of Montreal participated in the 41st annual Chanukah Spectacular & Carnival at Beth Rivkah.
Two separate amazing acrobatic shows were presented by the world famous Twins from France, and were immensely enjoyed by all.
A video of the first Intercontinental Chanukah Lighting was shown. The simultaneous lighting of Menorahs, and singing and dancing in cities all over the world – including the Moscow synagogue – linked together tens of thousands of Jews with the Rebbe in 770. It displayed true Achdus Yisroel.
The fun-filled Carnival included an original puppet show and many exciting booths. Dreidels, Chanukah Gelt and cotton candy were distributed to all the children.
Rabbi Yosef Minkowitz, principal of Beth Rivkah, pointed out the wonderful job the High School G.O. heads, Mushky Ezagui and Rechi Gurkow, and their HS schoolmates, did in helping organize this popular annual event.
Many parents shared their joyful Chanukah memories that they had when they themselves attended the yearly carnivals, and are now proudly bringing their children to be part of the Chanukah spirit.
