#2, Oh, really? Flag-worship is avoda zara. There’s nothing holy about the American flag, and there’s certainly nothing holy about a staged picture that was set up to sell magazines. In any case, the menorah that spreads Hashem’s light to the world is far more important than America or anything that stands for it.
