Over 200 people gathered Wednesday night adjacent to the Lincolnwood, IL Village Hall to celebrate Chanukah. The event was titled “Occupy Lincolnwood – with the light of Chanukah.” Channel 5 and Channel 7 were thinking it was a real Occupy event. Needless to say they were quite disappointed that they were duped, it was a village-wide Chanukah party.

Village Mayor Jerry Turry spoke about his first meeting with Rabbi Moshe Wolf from the Cheder Lubavitch about how to make this work with the limitations of separation between church and state. The evening featured freshly brewed cappuccino and hot chocolate, latkes and donuts and entertainment for the children.
