Excellent job, and excellent photos, but shouldn’t that be “AT” the Grand Canyon, since they didn’t light down inside the “big ditch?”

  • For all the jews out there that travel.

Good Job Chabad of Flagstaff, AZ For your efforts.

I have to say, its about time chabad got to the grand canyon. I’m waiting to see the day when chabad officially opens in the big national parks. There are so many Jews that travels through them from so many walks of life.

A few years ago I traveled with a friend though the National Parks. For one of our shabbats we set up camp
(with an Eiruv, huge bonfire that lasted the night without anyone touching it on shabbos… and everything) in the grand canyon camp grounds. Before shabbos but only after everything was all set up and ready, we went out on a hike. My friend and i bumped into a bunch of Jews who were also staying in the camp grounds. We invited them all for Friday night, we lit candles, sang the davenings and made kiddish together, it was beautiful. We spent the night talking Torah….

Anyway, I vote Chabad Opens @ the national Parks. :)
