Wednesday night the 1st night of Chanukah over 60 cars (120 people) partook in the annual Chanukah Menorah Parade in Louisville Kentucky. The 6 mile long Parade made its way to The Summit mall where Mayor-elect Greg Fischer Light the Beautiful Menorah.

Wednesday night the 1st night of Chanukah over 60 cars (120 people) partook in the annual Chanukah Menorah Parade in Louisville Kentucky. The 6 mile long Parade made its way to The Summit mall where Mayor-elect Greg Fischer Light the Beautiful Menorah.
After the lighting the many participants broke out in song some danced but everyone shared in the hot latkes, fresh donuts, hot chocolate and gelt.
Thursday night Rabbi Avrohom Litvin Head Shliach to Kentucky light the Menorah at a Chanukah dinner. The Next lighting was on the Menorah Mobile at Jewish Hospital. A beautiful Menorah was displayed there throughout Chanukah as well. Then at the Hyatt regency there was a three course meal, a one hour shiur and Menorah Lighting.
Sunday Night over 200 people joined The Louisville Jewish Day School and Chabad for the largest ice skating party in the state. Pizza, latkes, donuts, hot chocolate, and soda was served. Mayor Jerry Abramson lit the Menorah and led a few Chanukah songs.
The following night, Monday night Rabbi Boruch Susman hosted a party for the many Israelis in the community in his home. A beautiful spread of all kinds of Israeli dishes was served after the menorah was lit.
Tuesday night Chaabd of Lexington arranged a lighting inside The Joseph Beth Booksellers. Congressman Ben Chandler was scheduled to light the Menorah but could not attend due to an unexpected vote in congress on Tuesday. Fortunately The Kentucky state treasurer sent a representative, Jonathan Miller to light the menorah.
The lighting was followed by a wine tasting and cheese sampling along with gourmet latkes and fresh donuts.
Finally on the last night of Chanukah, Wednesday night Rabbi Chaim Litvin lit the Menorah at a Chanukah dinner at The Jewish Community Center of Louisville.

#3 your out of your mind if you were there in the past year you would know they are booming. Chaim Litvin is in charge of all peulos and as you see did an amazing job. Even my brother Yossi said Louisville is flourishing.
