Ottawa’s 800 Can Menorah!
On December 1st, the first night of Chanukah, the Chabad Student Network of Ottawa teamed up with AEPI Ottawa, to build a large Can-Norah.
The Menroah built from 800 cans of food, was later donated to the homeless shelters in Ottawa.
Close to 150 Students attended the event that was located in the prestigious Tabaret Hall at Ottawa U.
The students truly enjoyed the special event, which included music, latkas, and a chance to experience Chanukah.
This event was special due to the fact that it was held right after the original Menroah built in Ottawa U was stolen and later found broken in the garbage of a local bar. A much larger Menroah now stands in its place.
