7th Grade Builds Lego Chanukah Menorahs

MONTREAL, Canada [CHI] — In honor of the festival of Chanukah, 7th Grade of Yeshivas Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch of Montreal, along with the engineering help of a number of older students studying at the Rabbinical College of Quebec, constructed 2 magnificent menorahs, which were made exclusively with lego style Micro Mega Blocks.

The masterpieces were built with an amazing 75,000 bricks, spearheaded by Habochur Hatomim Moshe Minsky. The 2 menorahs, one – a 71/2 ft. traditional menorah, and the other, a Star of David shaped menorah, standing at 4 ft. tall, 5 ft. long.

The star shaped menorah was displayed in the Montreal Torah Center in Hampstead, Montreal. The other went on somewhat of a Chanukah tour, visiting the Friendship Circle, Tomchei Tmimim Lubavitch Elementary Division, Chabad of Cote St. Luc, and eventually finding its way to the MTC.

This brought enthusiasm and feeling for the Holiday, to not only those who helped in the building process, but to all those who beheld the sight of the beautiful menorahs.
