138 Car Menorah Parade Lights up Boca Raton

BOCA RATON, FL [CHI] — The biggest Menorah parade in the world took place in Boca Raton, Fl. Rabbi Shmuly Gutnick and the Bochrim Yitzchok Yarmush, Mendy Hildeshaim and Mendy Yaffe worked tirelessly putting menorahs on top of cars to prepare for the parade.

Included in the parade were 111 cars, 25 motorcycles, and 2 stretched hummers which left the chabad house to spread the light and joy of chanuka throughout the local streets. The parade was led by police escorts, who did a brilliant job of blocking streets and allowing the parade to cross town and do the mitzvah of pirsumei nissa in a remarkable way.

With each person receiving a chanuka mix cd, music could be heard blasting from each car, and bringing joy to everyone. Many people waved and honked their horns in appreciation as they witnessed the great procession of cars make its way through the busiest streets. The parade ended at Royal Palm Plaza where over 700 people took part in a live concert and beautiful menorah lighting. The crowd enjoyed doughnuts and latkes and danced the night away.
