No Chanukah Vacation
TZFAS, Israel [CHI] — Tzeirei Hashluchim Tzfas was in session, as the Bochurim learned and went on Mivtzoim throughout the days of Chanukah. Being that the Yeshiva is where many of the Talmidim stay in Israel, the Hanholah of the Yeshivah arranged in honor of Shabbos Chanukah, a special Shabbaton to Yerushalayim.

The Bochurim went together with the Menahel Ruchni Harav Shlomo Asaraf and the Menahel Gashmi Harav Menachem Traxler and their families. The Talmidim stayed in the ‘Merkos Sefardi’ in the old city, and ate their Shabbos meals at Kolel Chabad which is opposite the Kosel.
On Friday night and Shabbos afternoon it was a sight to behold in front of the Kosel; all of the bochurim of sitting in a circle singing nigunim despite the rain that continued coming down. Many looked on in bewilderment (and then joined) at the beautiful sight that took place.
Motzoei Shabbos and Sunday they toured in and around the old city, tunnel tours and much more with the desire to see very soon the Chanukas Hamikdosh.
According to the directive of the Rebbe the connection between Tefillin and Chanukah, the Talmidim did this Halacha l’maasah where ever they went, even when they visited the Museum of ‘Yad Vashem’ they where not able to resist and one of the visitors (pictured below) put on Tefillin there for the first time in his life!

A proud obserever
I was at the Kosel on Shabbos afternoon and he seder nigunim was really beautiful. from the steps you could already hear the singing. People were tapping their feet and clapping or humming as they came and went. You boys made a real kiddush lubavitch! Keep giving the Rebbe nachas. May we all be zoche to farbreng in the beis hamikdosh NOW.
