Two Chabad Centers in Moscow Dedicate Their New Homes on Erev Pesach

In a remarkable display of growth and expansion, two Chabad centers in Moscow inaugurated their new locations on the very same day—just ahead of Pesach. The events took place in central and southern Moscow, serving both local Jewish residents and the many business professionals who spend their days in these bustling areas.

The first center is located in a major business complex in the heart of Moscow, near two key metro stations, making it easily accessible to any Jew seeking connection. Its primary mission is to serve as a vibrant hub for Torah and Chassidus learning at all hours of the day, catering to all levels. To support this vision, a well-stocked Torah library has been established, along with thoughtfully designed spaces that provide a warm and dignified atmosphere for both students and teachers.

The initiative for this Chassidus learning center was spearheaded by philanthropist Rabbi Yehuda Davidov, chairman of the “770 Russia” Foundation. In coordination with the Chief Rabbi of Russia, this effort was integrated into the continued expansion of the Chabad network throughout Moscow.

The dedication ceremony was combined with a siyum on the writing of a beautiful new Sefer Torah, generously donated by participants of the center’s regular Chassidus classes. A magnificent Torah crown was presented by Rabbi Dovid Mondshine, chairman of the “Or Avner” educational network, on behalf of the shluchim and rabbis across Russia, as a token of appreciation for Rabbi Davidov’s tireless support on behalf of the shluchim, their families, and their communities.

On Motzaei Shabbos HaGadol, the Chief Rabbi of Russia, Rabbi Berel Lazar, visited the “ZIL” district along the Mark Chagall Promenade in southern Moscow to affix a mezuzah at the new Chabad House for the “Chagall” community.

He was warmly welcomed by the local shliach and community rabbi, Rabbi Shaul Shimon Deitch, together with respected members of the community. They proudly showed him the new facility, ideally situated in the heart of a rapidly developing neighborhood filled with modern high-rise buildings and home to many Jewish families. Already this Pesach, many are expected to gather there for sedarim, tefillos, and Torah classes.

Both of these uplifting events took place on the auspicious day of Yud-Alef Nissan—the 124th birthday of the Lubavitcher Rebbe, whose light continues to illuminate the world through his devoted shluchim, especially throughout Russia.
