New and Spacious Mikvah Inaugurated at Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Brunoy
A new and impressive mikvah was inaugurated this week at the Tomchei Tmimim Yeshiva in Brunoy, France, widely regarded as one of the flagship institutions of the global network of Tomchei Tmimim yeshivos.
The new mikvah was built to a high standard and designed with an especially large space to accommodate the needs of the yeshiva’s many students. The facility includes forty showers and a particularly spacious immersion pool, allowing hundreds of students to use the mikvah comfortably and in an orderly fashion.
The construction of the mikvah was generously sponsored by two alumni of the yeshiva, Reb Moshe Dov Aish and Reb Chaim Hillel Bradovitch, both parents of former students of the yeshiva. They dedicated the project for the benefit of the current students as an expression of gratitude for the education and inspiration they themselves received during their years at the yeshiva.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the yeshiva’s students, members of the administration, and distinguished guests. Among those present were the yeshiva’s directors, Rabbi Yitzchak Nemenov and Rabbi Mendel Gorevitch; Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson; the chief shliach to Paris, Rabbi Mendel Azimov; and the chief secretary, Rabbi Shimon Lasry. Numerous shluchim and family members also participated in the celebration.
The event was emceed by Rabbi Shmuel Bradovitch, head of the Shiur Alef division at the yeshiva and brother of donor Reb Chaim Hillel Bradovitch.
During the program, remarks were delivered by Rosh Yeshiva Rabbi Yechiel Kalmenson, donor Reb Moshe Dov Aish, donor Reb Chaim Hillel Bradovitch, and yeshiva director Rabbi Mendel Gorevitch.
In their addresses, the donors each expressed in their own words the deep privilege they felt in giving back to the institution where they themselves had grown and developed. They spoke about the yeshiva as the place where they were educated to live as Chassidim and to remain connected to the Rebbe, noting that their contribution was an expression of heartfelt gratitude to the yeshiva that shaped their lives.
The ceremony was accompanied by Chassidic niggunim and cantorial selections performed by the shliach bochur Shneur Zalman Baumgarten, which added to the uplifting and distinctly Chassidic atmosphere.
The highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of the dedication plaque, an honor given to the donors. The celebration concluded with a festive seudas mitzvah and a farbrengen attended by the large crowd.
The students and administration of the yeshiva expressed their deep appreciation to the donors for their generous contribution, noting that the new mikvah will greatly enhance life at the yeshiva and strengthen the Chassidic conduct of the Tmimim.
