Marking 24 Years Since The Landmark Sicha, Women at the frontlines of bringing Moshiach
Thirty-four years ago today, the Rebbe shared a sichah that set the tone for our unique times: Chof-Beis Shevat 5752. The theme: At long last, we have arrived at the final frontier to greet Moshiach. And it’s the women and their unique capabilities who are needed most.
For thousands of years, the Jewish people have worked on building a home for Hashem in this world.
“The Rebbe taught that the world is ready. What’s needed now is the feminine power that turns a completed structure into a living home, where Hashem’s presence is revealed even in the most external details,” says Mrs. Gitel Naparstek, Co-director of the Moshiach Office at Merkos 302.
And that’s where the feminine energy is needed most. Yes, it’s the female beauty and touch, often overlooked as something external and not as relevant to the actual brick and mortar, that is precisely what is most relevant and critical now.
The extra touch of beauty and warmth the woman brings to Torah and mitzvos reflects Hashem’s ultimate presence in every aspect of the dwelling, where what we have created becomes clearly His; where Hashem’s essence is dominant even in the most external facets.
