Chovevei Torah Mesivta Announces New Menahel, Joining United Lubavitcher Yeshiva
Under the leadership of Rabbi Menachem Minsky, Rabbi Yitzy Oster has been appointed as the new Menahel of Chovevei Torah Mesivta for the upcoming Shnas HaLimudim. This marks a significant step forward for Mesivtos in the Crown Heights community and beyond.
Rabbi Oster brings with him a deep passion for chinuch and has experience working with bochurim. Known for his warm approach and personal connection to talmidim, he will focus on building a real geshmak in learning and a close connection with each bochur.
For over 30 years, Chovevei Torah Mesivta has been recognized for its dedication to each and every talmid, ensuring they reach their fullest potential. The Mesivta hosts weekly Father & Son Learning and Farbrengens, building achdus and chassidishkeit. The talmidim also benefit from inspiring guest speakers, exciting recreational trips, uplifting Shabbatons, weekly gym outings, and a variety of special programs.
The expanded Mesivta framework is guided by the leadership of Rabbi Yosef Simpson and Rabbi Yossi Langsam, together with Rabbi Menachem Minsky, whose combined experience continues to strengthen our Mesivta system.
With these developments, families will now have access to two strong Mesivta options: a complete out-of-town Mesivta experience at the Ocean Parkway Campus, with a dormitory 30 minutes away from Crown Heights, and a local Mesivta option at Chovevei Torah on Eastern Parkway, for bochurim who prefer to return home each night.
Together, these options enhance the communal commitment to meeting the needs of today’s bochurim and raising the standard of Mesivta chinuch.
