Just in Time for Yud Shvat – Bosi LeGani Song in Russian

A new song in Russian, based on the Bosi LeGani maamorim, has been released just in time for Yud Shvat. It is dedicated in honor of Bella’s birthday on Yud Shvat by her uncle Chaim Tovshteyn. Her personalized spelling of the name Bella in Hebrew has roshei teivos Bosi LeGani Achosi and she is named after this maamor.

Chaim was mentored by R’ Sholom Bruchshtat during his time as a bochur but miraculously started to compose himself only recently, moved by his parents OBM passing during COVID pandemic. Although he dedicated the lyrics to Bella’s Bat Mitzvah six years ago, the sketch of the melody came up only for the previous Yud Shvat as an unintentional surprise. Reb Sholom did hear it as a standalone niggun, became very emotional and gave very high acclamation.

The song was arranged by the renowned musician Israel Edelson, a disciple of Leonard Bernstein, who is known for his numerous Chabad and cantorial compositions and arrangements.

It is performed by an aspiring young singer from Moscow, haTomim Avrohom Dovid Gorin. Vocal recording was done by talented young musician Sara Kleinberg. Sara and Avrohom Dovid inspired Chaim to put this into a full song with the work of their prior partnership.

The creators of this song hope it will serve as a mental and spiritual breakthrough for those who are not yet familiar with the Bosi LeGani maamorim. It avoids complex terminology and with HaShem’s help can be useful in the Chabad outreach movement.
