Oholei Torah Presents Clear Technology Plan at Parent Event, with Guidelines for Yeshiva and Helpful Tips for Home

Oholei Torah hosted a Proactive Chinuch parent gathering last month to introduce its refined and unified technology plan, addressing one of the most important topics facing our homes and Yeshiva today. Technology has become part of everyday life, and the evening offered helpful insight along with practical guidance for how we can chart a healthy and holy path forward together. The goal was to strengthen the partnership between parents and Mechanchim in a warm, supportive, and encouraging way.

Inspired by last year’s meeting with the Menahalim and the Wellness team, this subsequent event acknowledged that even though the topic may feel familiar, it remains one we must continue to address with honesty and clarity. R’ Mendel Kleinman served as a driving force behind the program, underscoring our responsibility to approach this topic with thoughtfulness and direction. Each of the Menahalim participated and contributed pertinent ideas, adding depth and perspective to the conversation.

The program opened with a meaningful Dvar Torah from Rabbi Yossi Evers, setting the stage for thoughtful reflection from a chinuch lens. Rabbi Yehoshua Lustig then presented on the often overlooked and rarely spoken about perspectives within the challenge, highlighting how families and Yeshiva can work together to create a safe, focused, and wholesome environment for every talmid.

Rabbi Eliyahu Simpson followed by explaining the reasoning behind key policies, emphasizing how each guideline is crafted with the best interest of the talmidim, parents, and Yeshiva in mind. His message underscored the importance of everyone being aligned as we guide and educate our children.

Parents who attended were entered into raffles, adding an exciting touch to an already insightful evening.

The event marked a strong step forward in building clarity, unity, and confidence as Oholei Torah continues developing a thoughtful and proactive approach to Chinuch and technology.
