Jewmanji: YAHAD Launches New Educational Adventure Game

YAHAD, FJC’s Jewish youth programming for students and young professionals, is proud to announce the launch of a new educational board game designed to blend Jewish heritage study with fun and creativity. The game, titled Jewmanji, offers players an engaging journey through key moments in Jewish history—both real and imagined.

Built around a dynamic, team-based format, Jewmanji invites participants to explore various missions involving Jewish themes, historical references, and imaginative storytelling. Players will work together to overcome challenges, navigate humorous and complex character traits, and attempt to “save the world”—or at least their team—through five competitive rounds.

Among the game’s unique features is a “Mobile Sukkah” mechanism that transports players to different eras and provides various tools and surprises, some helpful and some unexpected. Character roles include everything from athletes to ritual slaughterers, and even unlikely combinations such as a gossiping elder with rare spiritual artifacts.

Suitable for 2 to 16 players, Jewmanji – developed by YAHAD’s creative development team directed by Rabbi David Ariel Shapiro – is ideal for youth programs, family gatherings, or informal educational settings. It aims to encourage creativity, critical thinking, collaboration, and laughter—all while strengthening Jewish identity.

“We wanted to create something that brings people together, challenges their imagination, and teaches Jewish values in an entirely new way,” said Rabbi Mendel Wilansky, YAHAD Director. “Jewmanji does exactly that—through humor, storytelling, and a strong sense of community.”
