Adopt-a-Bubby! Bring Joy and Connection to Crown Heights Seniors
Do you have an elderly mother or relative living in Crown Heights? Would she benefit from a consistent, joyful weekly visitor?
Adopt-a-Bubby is a beautiful new initiative dedicated to creating meaningful intergenerational connections within our community. We carefully match young caring volunteers with elderly community members for an hour of fun and warm companionship each week.
Our mission is simple: to bring connection, warmth, and friendship to Crown Heights seniors. We believe that everyone deserves something wonderful to look forward to, and that the wisdom of the older generation is a treasure to be shared.
Whether it’s baking or cooking; knitting or crafting; playing games; learning, or just chatting, the hour is filled with fun and enjoyment. Volunteers are matched up based on preferences.
The volunteers gain invaluable life experience and learn from the rich wisdom of their Bubby, while the seniors receive a beautiful boost of chayus.
